The carpeting idea is also great if you live in a colder climate it helps keep the heat in on the older machines. I did some snow removal for a guy with a Cat 966C loader and he carpeted the interior and not only did it help kill noise and rattling it kept the damn thing half decently warm when it was -30C.
@Xx69roadrunnerxX The clutch is a hard fiber material but not cork or paper like some wet clutches I have seen. It has 8 speeds forward and 4 reverse. 4 gears high and low foreward like a split rear. Reverse ratio is half way between the high and low of the foreward of the same gear.
@Xx69roadrunnerxX It is a wet clutch, it is smooth as silk and has a positive hook. I would have to look to see the diameter..I didn't measure it when I rebuilt the engine. You can shift on the fly when roading or plowing snow but it does take skill!

Any tips for adjusting the linkages on the gearshifts? I've bought an old D560, same transmission as yours. I seem to be missing some gears - won't fully engage.
So it has an 8spd manual huh, sweet! Hows it shift? What size clutch/flywheel? Clutch material? How the clutch engage? Real smooth or pretty grabby? Im probably going to swap an NV4500 manual into my Dodge Cummins. A built 47RE automatic would be much faster and hold the power better (depedning on how your drive really), but a manual would be more fun. Plus the manual is much simpler and doesnt require all those linkages and electric sensor.

To be sure about the power , I don’t know if its possibile to put this in the torque bench ,but with the adiustable roller bench, I think it possibile,if you know, this matters , can be solved in many different way ,approximately, but to match the exactly , you need the test bench,

Nice! Also nice improvements. Rather than speakers, why not wear sound-blocking headphones? Better sound quality and they also help protect your hearing. In my SUV I'd wear them if not illegal. Wet bar is next. Spinning your fan faster is taking up some horsepower. Sweating is good for health.

Better result, if you like quiet , is to put a dubble glass ( overlap the original glass with a methacrylate with a 2 mm. Of biathesive between, and a self- tarpaulin sheath, with aluminium foil,on the insidie , and spongy carpet, which you can cover with, and material you like, carpet car,rubber with stamps , ect.
A 4-71 that's Turbocharged and Aftercooled? This is also Detroits most indestructible engine, it can runaway at 10,000+ RPMs for 7 minutes before dieing!

@FMF666 The sending unit dies after 1/2 tank...I have one in the shop, got to get it changed. I have the paint and a new fuse block as well.
