Old football had a variety of rules as the term originally applied to several games played on foot as opposed to horseback, so could be in reference to a game that the hands are used or kicking, it was essentially just a generic term for ball sport. Some games would have rules that would vary from town to town or playground to playground and other games would just be outright brawls.

Originally, Welsh meant "foreigner" in English (well, Old English).
Edit: Correction on the curry thing; India does have native curries. Lots of them, in fact. It's specifically tikka masala that's a UK creation. Tikka itself comes from India, but the non-dry version was invented by an Indian chef working in the UK.
There are some other dishes that are British-Indian rather than Indian - an example of this would be vindaloo. Vindaloo **is** a Goan dish, but the British vindaloo is massively spicier, and makes use of some ingredients that wouldn't be considered for the dish in Goa. British-Indian is considered widely considered a regional Indian cuisine to go along with those found within India itself.

It was still considered and treated as a separate country but incorporated into the kingdom of England. It can also be argued it is represented in the same cross as England as the St David's flag of Wales is in the same shape and dimensions just with different colours.

What he said about no laws being written down is not true. We have lots of laws written down. We just don't have a constitutional document like in the US. We have documents of a constitutional nature - the Magna Carta being the most famous but we also have the Bill of Rights, Acts of Union and Act of Settlement , Parliament Acts, Human Rights Act , Scotland Act, Northern Ireland Act and Government of Wales Act along others that together act as a scrapbook of constitutional documents. But of course we have criminal laws written down. Just when it's not 100% clear then we go to the "word of mouth" method - what did that judge say last time this happened? That's common law baby.
