I love watching stats videos! Which is one of the reasons I finally started making them on my channel this year. I love seeing how a reader changes over time but also how our reading stats reveal our preferences compared to each other (for instance, I read a lot more short books than you do)
This year I’ve been struggling so hard with reading and I read 99% romance. So I’ve been trying other genre’s because not having a book to read has been so hard for me, but romance just hasn’t been it for me lately. Here’s to broadening my horizons I guess 😂😂😂
I know you said you haven’t been doing your bookopoly TBR videos anymore but I was wondering if you might go back to them in the future. I really loved watching those.
This may be a silly idea, but another reason you not reading as much romance is because you got engaged? You got your romance. And it might have switched something in you brain that’s like ‘ok that’s set… now what else is out there?’.. I notice a change in my reading desires depending on what I’m going through in my life.
It's funny I'm feeling the same about most contemporary romance. I'm not sure why it used to be my main genre. Maybe it's my age/hormones as I'm now 40+ lol. I've moved over to fantasy romance and seem to get my fix their instead. I'll give u a couple of my favourite contemorary romance recs that I've found I really like. They're a bit edgy and emotional. Don't know what that says about me. There are some triggers however so check them out first. The first is broken by nicola haken and the other sister by leanne davis. Both on KU and both 5 star reads for me.
"OH girl, you're not reading as much as you thought you were". Yeah but you feel better about it, which is way more important
