the dude playin drums was wandering down the street in the median of Richmond, VA. I knew Moon Hooch was playing that evening, so I went up to him, NOT KNOWING IT WAS THE DRUMMER. He looked like the Hooch drummer but I just wanted to invite him to the show. I asked him "do you know Moon Hooch?" he said, "yeah, I'm the drummer" I freaked the fuck out laughing! I was like "I knew it was you!" I didn't have a job at the time so I had no money. I continued to say I heard they were in town and I can't come see them. He then called the Broadberry and gave me 4 free tickets! After I thanked him going full fan-boy, he continued to play a soprano sax up to the art museum. This was the best experience I've had meeting musicians. I've met famous djs, fiddlers, dancers, chefs, actors. This was just so awesome to meet this guy. His wide pupil eyed friendly face gave me such joy and gave me a great time. They absolutely killed it that night and I was able to invite friends that also were down on their luck with money. What a fantastic evening. It's so weird to me to have these niche pleasures and to meet the ones that give life meaning. Where ever all 3 of you are, you touched my life and I love you for that. I lost 3 pounds dancing to your music that evening.
I have viewed every version of "NUMUBER 9" on TH-cam. My favorite is the Jam In The Van session . And Yes, James is far better the the new guy. The way his drumming fills in the music is astounding.
lady pick up flyer at 4:04 returned at 6:58...James totally checked her out when she returns, but then again, with the level of crazyeyeness, you never know who James is checking out on....
I really was not a trumpet or saxophone fan, until this. Not even remotely. It's probably because I had to suffer Kenny G until my ears bled, growing up. These guys are really unique and intense.
I'm an old fucker so I'm not postive what dubstep, but I saw these guys at a show in Athens GA a couple of years ago and that is EXACTLY what a bunch of the kids there left saying

love how james takes off his jacket without missing a beat.
James is such a great drummer. I love this band but I'm sad he left the group.
He left the band?
@@J3lackCap yes a little while ago, they have a new one. He's still a good drummer but I still miss James' energy.
Love you guys. There just isn't enough barry sax in this world.
1:10 James doesn't stop to take off his jacket
that gal right there reacted to that too lol
Number 9 is unbelievably fun to cover. Thanks so much!
Hell yeah! Very cool and I'm a seventy year old, old fart digging on this,
There's always that superfan that decides to show up and dance the entire time
That girl's dancing is so free, natural and terrible
Completely addicted.
These guys are so intensely awesome that it sort of makes me mad.
The drummer is representing artists with the Dick Blick shirt. Love these guys.

These guys are unreal! put this stuff on a CD!
They have, it's up on their bandcamp website, $6 for digital, $7 for FLAC version.

I think he was just looking around since he had breaks in the song

1:30 that'd totally be me if I randomly found this goodness in a subway
It's like they created a sonic oasis for all those people to exist in away from the desert of urban survival.
Just don't.
I thought you were a healer not a stone.
divni..volimo 3/1,mix do daske...
Dude, do you have sheet music for this? I would love to do this at my Senior Recital with some people! This stuff is killer!!

大阪メトロ心斎橋でやってほしい

I think this is the best that is it possible to be when you can only play two notes at a time. Just imagine if they had three notes!
+1337spb What?
That lady better be careful...

Is there a studio version of this song anywhere?
You can find them on their website, moonhooch dot com or Spotify. Songs are Number 9 and Milk and Waffles
Hey you three, when will you come to the east of germany?
UKOnation you mean Poland? ;)

What’s the first song ?
Milk and Waffles
Dat chick to the right is the kind of chick you wanna spend your whole time talking to when you are at party. Sipin beers and chain smoking.
Yea...that kinda girl doesn't wanna sit their sippin on beer with your ass. She wants to have fun.
I wonder how much money they were making at each show down in the subway.
A decent amount or practically nothing how a junkie can beg 1200 bucks a week for heroin like c'mon dude 2 grams a day is a bit much
@@jackmaster3134 you didn't have to mention drugs, you know.
