Is the table extruded aluminum ? and is there any speed control ? and what did you pay for it ? New or Second Hand ?

I believe the table is aluminum. No speed control. I bought a whole bunch of mini tools for $300 for the lot, which included a mini table saw, bandsaw, scroll saw, disc sander, etc so I don't have much invested in just the drill press.

Can it drill through steel?

I haven't tried drilling steel with it yet, just wood
