I have hope that the final versions of these games will fix at least half of the complaints competitive players have about Smash 4, like landing-lag for example. I already personally love the direction these games have taken from Brawl but if landing-lag was reduced and dash dancing was made more useful + a few other things...I'd absolutely love it.
They don't mean movement speed. It's slow because of lag after moves and the inability to cancel animations. I don't know that much about smash mechanics but I know that the big gripe here is with the (probable) lack of combo and movement potential in Smash WiiU. In my case, I care because I truly enjoy watching exciting matches b/w high level players, and it honestly is disappointing to think that this game won't be fun competitively because of restrictive design choices.
I like 1 on 1 a lot better than 4 player, it's a lot more fun for me because I'm better at it (cause I can focus on one guy) and it leads to me intense gameplay imo
I'd give it some time to develop a metagame before judging the pace... Brawl felt a lot slower when it first came out too. Btw, i read there was a 0-70% Combo that Sheik can pull off in the 3ds version. Several other characters can also do some simple follow-ups off of tilts or even tilt lock, so i do see some potential for combos.
I noticed the final smash aura lingering for a second after WF trainer used hers. Does it grant some protection in order to get back to regular fighting?
I can't tell if it'll be a competitive game or not. Certainly the invitational is difficult to judge. But theres a very difficult fo pull off dash dance and combos seem hard to pull off. But its early days so who knows
Keep in mind that this is one of the first matches of them playing, so they don't know too much of what they're doing. Future matches of Smash 4 will be much faster than any of these videos.
cant wait to play brawl again, i mean i understand why nintendo got rid of something so basic like dash dancing, CLEARLY moving the stick back and forth is just to advanced, only tourney players can pull of such an advanced tech..... thanks nintendo. sigh
Did Wii Fit put Greninja in the ground with her 1-2-3 A move? Or did I miss a pitfall being used?
The screen KOs look so much better in this game. They all have weird poses, like Wii Fit Trainer's
and they make funny faces. Rosalina and Zelda for example
Rafael Bastos I like Greninja's screen ko. He looks like a frog with his tongue sticking out
The games pace moves a lot slower than I hoped.

How can people look at the speed of this game and say that it's too slow to be competitive?
Because it's not Melee 2.0, which is what they want.
***** it has some issues with end lag and overall lag following moves, if moves were safer, then it would be amazing, its so close.
Because it s not a fluid Speed like in Melee or Project M for Example. Here there is just so much time in between moves.

1:28 Woah, Deep Breathing heals you, not by much, but still
0:50 look how much faster this game is :3
Whoa, that looks way faster than I expected. I know you can tilt down in the air to fall down faster so that might be the case.

Man, you can see Sky was everywhere for Smash4. Damn.
Greninja wins too much. lol Damn he looks so good. XD The Wii Fit Trainer also looks like a good fighter.

All the characters in this game look so fun to play I want to main all of them

Wonder what sky thinks of Karma and Fiora being added to the game.
That was a nice fight. Also Inkay confirmed in Pokeballs :D
2:10 so graceful *_*

Not only that the game is still in development, but the players barely know how the game works, so i say better give it some time before judging it.
juan manuel maldonado peña TO THE LAAAAAAAB
harder to pull off combos will separate the good from the great.
Did it really take 2 min and 30 sec to get one kill even WITH items...
I already feel disappointed
Items actually made this game slower, since the players were focused on getting them and not actually fighting.
These guys have BARELY played this game, of course they don't know the most efficient ways to KO each character with.
I'm actually liking how well this game plays with items since they don't overshadow combat mechanics and require more skill.
Pretty sure items were the reason for that lmao. They got so much food that they were kept at fairly low %s for a while lol.
Keep in mind that this is one of the first matches of them playing, so they don't know too much of what they're doing. Future matches of Smash 4 will be much faster than any of these videos.
Did anyone else notice Inkay? WTH is it supposed to do?
It looks like it trips opponents.
Every time it flips and slams the ground it trips all enemies.
WOOO SKY FOR PRESIDENT
god damn it this game looks so sexy...(graphically) to bad its gonna play like a slightly better brawl
Tmathh Too bad thats basically saying it will feel slightly better than getting aids in my mouth
its bad because melee was at least 10x better then brawl
melee>the rest of em
(pm is great too)
LOL so true
Sky pls
greninja is too awesome to lose
Does anyone else mute these and add their own commentary? Just me? Okey Dokey...
Just you, @ss hole
The hypocrisy of that comment. -_-
