So your wife is Salvadoran, right? DUI is only citizenship and it will allow her to use the Chivo Wallet app. The Chivo ATMs are available for everyone.
I recommend the TIENDONA market, there it is a starting point market for the rest of the country, very cheap. For example, a box of giant bananas costs $7 and there are 100 giant bananas.
