I was ready to hate all over this; I am usually annoyed by kid 'opera' singers. This girl, however, pleasantly surprised me. She is not trying to sound like a mature opera singer, over darkening and pushing her voice; she has a sound, solid technique, beautiful diction, stage presence, and beautiful expressiveness. Brava ragazza!!
She's NO "kid opera singer"! She's a gifted young singing talent - but she's NOT an opera singer. And I am pretty sure she wouldn't label herself one. When will people finally learn the difference?
One of the most known so called "child opera singer" must be Amira Willighagen. Her amazing videos are in numbers of multi millions. Perhaps because she sings in an unorthodox unique style and voice. Quite a few opera songs, amplified, and seldom this kind of repertoire.
@@paulcanis6297 To be honest. The singing style is so "proper" it gets boring. Together with this kind of church repertoire it's a perfect choice staying odd and obscure.

Wonderful job! Did you get this from a yellow collection of Italian Art Songs. I too, sang this piece and another great piece named Vergin Tuto Amor. Sang both of these at Orange Coast College in my advanced voice class. This led to joining the advanced choir and singing some of the greatest stuff ever written. I enjoyed your singing.
Amazing... A kid singing opera with no adult sound mannerisms... Don't hush her to do high E/F/G/A/B/Cs, let her doing this lower rep, even if she develope to be a high soprano till she is in her late teen days do the top will be saved and the musical intelligence, acting abilities and theory knowledge is there... I agree about how it is appropriately precious. This is after all a basic song. But very beautiful. I think it is wise song choice.
