I've spent the last 3 months of quarantine trying to get myself to finally open the RxPrep book and start studying. I still have not done so 😂😂😂😂. It's very bad haha
I used mine as a coster much longer than I care to admit! I do recommend at least cracking it open for some calculations. Give yourself a little reward once you finally start studying-that's the hardest part!
This video came at the perfect time! I’ve been done with rotations for several weeks now but still haven’t been able to sit down and study for either exam. I take my MPJE June 11, move to the city where my residency is June 13, and take my NAPLEX June 24. These tips were great! Lots of studying ahead for me 😅
Congratulations on graduation and getting a residency!🥳 It is a crazy time that's why I started studying so late! You can do it! I'm doing my MPJE Tips video. Should be up later this week! Hopefully it will help!😊
I am 56 years old. I just finished FPGEE ( foreign graduates) I think i passed by a thin margin i'll know in 8 weeks. I am terrified of Naplex. How do they compare?
I highly recommend getting the new RxPrep Book for 2021 when it comes out (usually October) super helpful for rotation topic discussions and they will send you any updates for free!😊 Enjoy APPE year it will fly by
Ahhh Texas here too! Didn’t get an early test date (aug 27th) but will have to take my mpje before naplex (July 27th). Thanks for the tips! Would love to see ur tips for mpje
Thanks for all of the great tips, Sierra! They were really helpful. I was in a similar situation where I had 3.5 weeks to study. Your video was encouraging and motivated me that I can pass just like you did. I ended up passing with triple digits :) Thanks again for your advice!
Thank you for the video. I haven't passed my naplex and decided to take a break. Well, work and other distractions/Emergencies got in the way and it's been a year. I know it'll take me much longer to study, which I don't mind doing. Could you share with me your study plan/schedule? I've already passed my MPJE for texas.
I really didn't make a schedule and my study plan would likely be different than yours. I went through the RxPrep book cover to cover. I spent more time on subjects I knew I struggled with in school and skimmed over topics I knew well like those I completed rotations in!
Thank you! That's about when I took mine and I started studying hard around the second week of June. Procrastination is the worst but I tried to give myself something to look forward to! (Like going out to eat or an hour by the pool!) Good luck!😊
Hi, thank you so much for this video. I just graduated 3 weeks ago and started studying with the RxPrep 2020 recently. I loved your tips! However, I am not sure I know which objectives you talked about? Is that on the book?
Hi Sierra thank you so much for your videos, very helpful. I have a couple of questions for you: - do you apply for both exams Naplex and Mpje at the same time? Or can you do one after passing the other? And what is the time frame to get your application accepted? - Can you pass these exams without starting internship? And what are your tips for internship?
You can apply for both at the same time or separate. You can schedule them on the same day but I recommend doing them on different days. The timeframe to get authorization to test will vary greatly by school and state. It could be a few days or up to a couple of months. I'm not sure what you mean by internship. You take these exams after completion of your pharmd. You must be graduated in order to take these exams
@@HappyPharmLife i am a foreign graduate pharmacist, I passed my fpgee and toefl and received my Fpgec certificate which means I have the same amount of knowledge as a pharmacy graduate. So now I need to get into a pharmacy training program and pass naplex in order to proceed with my 2 year training. Can you make a video about internship program please? And can you pass naplex without starting internship? Thank you!
Thank you for uploading this video. It’s very inspiring. I am struggling to stop procrastination. It’s really difficult to set some time for studying when I’ve a job. May be I should select a date first..so I can be more focused. What do you think?
I did most of my studying for the NAPLEX and all of my Texas MPJE studying after starting residency so it is 100% doable. I personally do better when I can create a study schedule based on my test date. That really depends on how you study best!
Did you think the RXprep calculations in the book vs test bank were helpful ? You said the rxprep test bank was harder.. would you say the same for their calculations? Any tips on mastering calculations. Thanks for the video
My biggest tip for calculations is to do practice problems every single day and keep doing practice problems every day. I recommend using a cheap handheld calculator like you have on the exam. The RxPrep questions were all I used to study calculations and I didn't feel bad about a single calculations question on the exam! It was super helpful. I think RxPrep questions were slightly harder for calculations vs the actual exam but not much harder.
Thank you for the video!!! it helped so much. My Naplex is in 4 weeks and I'm nervouse.....which chapters do you recommend to focus on except calculation?
Thank you for your video you shared. So you said it does not need to read just line by line and all the material. We have to just study the Tips and bold and lined sentences.I need a little bit more explanation please and again thanks for the video.

Any other advise to people who blank on exams? I take it July 20th 2021
Good Evening everyone! I have a quick question. If someone does not pass the NAPLEX after the 5th try, what does the nabp require them to do in order to get the opportunity to retake the exam? Would they allow for just 1 more chance afterwards or another set of 5 times? I emailed them already but thought I'd ask here as well. Please be respectful about it. If you do not have an answer, thats fine. Just don't belittle. Thank you for your time!!
I bought the 60 day subscription for the test bank but I didn’t really have time to take all the quizzes. I was working and studying for two mpje’s. My naplex is in two weeks 😵💫😱
Hi Thanks for the video, Would you please tell me the name of the app you used to study? I did some research and was unable to an app that came with test bank questions, the rxprep app I found on the App store, only had videos, and didn't come with test bank questions.
Did you purchase the test bank? This was an additional fee, so if you did not add it to your package, it may not be showing up. Additionally, I took the exam in 2019 so RxPrep may have changed their app. I'm not sure.
The RxPrep book that is mentioned in the video has entire chapters dedicated to calculations. All of them are equally important. There aren't specific ones to focus on as all the common pharmaceutical calculations are possible on the exam.

A very big problem. Knowing the brand/generic is necessary for the NAPLEX. I would start studying by learning the brand and generic for the top 200 drugs.

Because of the confidentiality agreement you sign when taking the NAPLEX I am unable to answer that question. Also, I would not focus on that when studying. Focus on getting a general understanding of all disease states.
The objectives are not in the RxPrep book as they are not the writers of the exam. The competency statements are on the NABP website. I also would not recommend the 2019 book for the 2021 exam. Several major disease states have had changes in guidelines since then.
