Not even disappointed by Chris's acting honestly, he sounds good as Mario, he sounds better than he would if he tried forcing himself to do a constant Italian accent.

A lot of the older media, including the old cartoon shows and possibly donkey Kong with Jumpman, did put the basic idea that Mario and Luigi did come from Brooklyn so more of a Brooklyn accent than the usual overexaggerate Italian, makes a bit more sense.

The music is epic, animation beautiful, I genuinely laughed, I love Jack Black as Bowser and as I've been binging the reaction vids to this trailer, Chris Pratt is growing on me more. I was incredibly cynical before but now I'm feeling quite hopeful for this movie
Just to inform, Mario's original voice was a guy with a New York accent not a stereotypical high-pitched Italian man, the Italian accent came after but that accent was only designed for video game sound effects not for movies and shows, that's why Mario doesn't have dialogue in the games, And that's why their old shows and movie had him having a New York accent, so it's not that far fetched Mario having a regular voice, if people understood that they would be more ease of mind
Not going to lie, this is a movie I will go to see at an expensive theater for the full experience. It’s good. I love the SLIGHT hint accent but not too much. It separates his character from him being dropped and being a cartoon because he’s not a cartoon in this world.

I’ve had 2 overall complaints with this movie. Cliches, which I’ll ignore because everything is absolutely amazing. And the voice of bowser. I liked the one they used for most of the games, and if it weren’t for that, I’d only have one meaningless problem with the trailer. I like what they’re doing and am very hyped for this new movie.
Cliches? If you're referring this to be an Isekai, it's been that way since the OG games (not the single-player 3D games where they sort of retconned it). If I remember correctly, Miyamoto took a lot of inspiration from Alice in Wonderland -- the Bros will get whisked into a fantasy world and I'm pretty excited we'll finally get to see it in detail. Also, I think Jack Black's bowser voice is pretty spot on!
I don't need mario to sound exactly like the video games but he should sound alot closer to it then this lol its literally chris pratt's regular voice lol
I think he has a slight Brooklyn accent to his voice (you can especially hear it on the last line), which is in line with his earlier games and the Super Mario Bros Super Show.
