IKEA is located in "Kungens Kurva" south of Stockholm, which translates to "The King's curve". The story behind that is that the car the then king of Sweden, Gustav V, travelled in had an accident there. This was a big story in the papers the next day and some petrol stations nearby started to call themselves "xxx at Kungens Kurva". This was 1946 and the name stuck.
Fun fact you missed: You mentioned that Stockholm was founded around 1250, which might be old according to US standards but not so much according to European ones. However, it was impossible to found it very much earlier! Lake Mälaren was a part of the sea and the islands upon which Stockholm is built were largely just not there! The land rises slowly from the sea, at a rate of about 5 mm / year, which may not sound much but it makes up 4 m since Stockholm was founded.
You missed that most of that water is fish-able and you can eat the fish you catch and the water holds species ranges from perch and pike to eel, salmon and sea trout ;)

It’s great city but, the road system is terrible I remember when I was going there with my friend and he’s mom went on the wrong side of the road. My mom is terrified of driving there but if you really want to, go to grönalund Macklemore is coming there this summer
Just watch out for the criminal gangs that are doing their outmost to shoot each other in the streets in broad daylight. If you'll survive that you'll be fine in Stockholm.

I’m born and raised here and been traveling a lot but I always come back home to my lovely hometown with beauty and peace. I never get tired watching the sun raise here or set. I love Stockholm in snow or in summertime. By peace I mean we’re aloud to be free and have a free speech, democracy, no death penalty as in middle age countries (reed all countries with death penalty included USA).. We have come further in our democracy in Scandinavia that I hope we can inspire other “great democratic countries on earth” ( like self proclaimed worlds “best democratic country” like US for example) You’re all welcome here to enjoy

A few corrections. The cobblestones in Gamla Stan is sadly modern and not original. The original, really old cobble stone was replced in the 1940s by regular pavement and then changed back in the 70s and 80s to trick tourists. When you start talking about the National Museum the image shows our Great Opera house so that's the wrong building. The Museum is 6 times larger than that at least. The Abba museum is only visited by tourists. Swedes don't get a fuck about Abba, I live in Stockholm city and I nor anyone I know has ever been there. It's a complete ripoff of garbage, especially since we have many of Europes best museums right in midtown.
Sorry it's just about the form than the content but I really prefered the more steady presentation of this guy, to the other of this serial for Sweden. Altough he's cool too.

Been to Stockholm (and Yttermalung and Malmö) this summer. Fell in love with this town/country. Sweeds be happy, you life in a nice place.
