what if it's a square root inside the log?
log( x^0.5) = 0.5 log(x) for all bases, so obviously the domain of x is x > 0.

Will the range be always (- infinity, + infinity) ?
Its actually "all set of real numbers" both are the same
Yes, for log function Range always (-inf, inf)
