- Across the Sao Jacinto bridge from Chicalim is a lovely restaurant that we were pleasantly surprised to learn serves home style Goan food.

We visited Bridge and Tunnel restaurant because we wanted to hang out at Sao Jacinto, a lovely island in the mouth of the Zuari river off Chicalim, near Vasco in central Goa.

Our table outside afforded a lovely view of the water. Even the tables inside Bridge and Tunnel have a soothing view of the river, thanks to the large French windows facing the Zuari Bay
Frankly, we were happy with the view, the peaceful and quiet setting beside the river, the great drinks and the lovely company. But Bridge and Tunnel would get even better. The food was excellent. Whatever we ordered was lovely.
Today, on the feast of Goencho Sahib St Francis Xavier, we’re having chonak curry rice, plus salt pork and pork amsol on the side. And Eveyln is also having paneer masala.
Very nice. Home taste. We really enjoyed.
That was a wonderful afternoon with my favourite people for company. What a lovely Sunday lunch

On your recommendation i visited this place last week, but i was very disappointed. only 1 waiter for the whole external sitting area, poor service. we had goan style chicken chili but it was like Chinese stuff also the waiter said they don't serve goan style fish curry any more. only few bits of chicken and whole chopped capsicum. Also taste n service were worst. then we headed to Sheela's just opposite side to delicious on goan food. Pls avoid such over hyped places.
That’s very sad. We had such good chonak curry when we visited. Hope they serve their fish curry rice again
