Great addition to your adirondack chair......it will be so comfortable that people won't want to ever get up from it! Always love seeing your adorable dog there supervising everything!
Приветствую тебя Джеймс и всю твою семью. Я уже как то соскучился по твоим видео,давненько не видел.Работа и результат на отлично. Молодцы. Удачи тебе и твоей команде. Привет из России.🇷🇺
Thanks for the free plans James! Seriously thinking about the bundle. I think I'm about ready to try building bigger things now. :D BTW, is you shop doggo deaf, or does she just not care about power tools? I see her snoozing away on the workbench while you're working. ❤
Well i got the plans, templates, watched the videos on the rocking adirondack chair everything went well until I started on the back of the chair. How do you cut out these slats consently? Any secrets to it.
Hi. That is Jet’s Elite Metal lathe with a pretty sophisticated DRO. But no CNC capabilities. Along with the metal work I do on it making equipment for science experiments & testing, I also use it for precision woodworking. If I’m going to make our large threaded bolt for example, I need to turn a perfect cylinder down to 62.5mm in diameter. And it has to be pretty accurate. 1/2mm off and the wooden nut won’t work well on the bolt. 1/2mm accuracy is child’s play for that lathe, but it’s pretty hard to do that on the wood lathe.
It’s a high grip surface that holds the piece I’m working on relatively still. It’s great for sanding and routering on. They sell router pads in this size for about $30, and all they are is a piece of high quality carpet padding. If you go to a carpet & flooring store you can usually get a big off-cut for a few dollars and make several. The only thing important is that it should be good quality carpet padding. That’s the best by far.
I know that it would be better to build this out of redwood, cedar, or something similar. But... I have 1000+ BF of 50" long red oak and about the same amount of hickory. would those woods work, if I used a heavy finish, or should I just stay away from anything that isn't coniferous?
For the Ultimate Outdoor Furniture Package? Yes. It’ll be good for a week, then prices will go back to normal. If you want it, but can’t buy it until after that point, message me and let me know. I’ll work it out for you. Thanks, James

Thank you!
Thanks so much for the free plans for the footrest! Time to purchase my wood!
Your shop dog isn't even phased by all the noise. I need to get one of those bean bags and see if I can relax like that. :)
She’s been with us in the shop for years. She actually goes everywhere we go. And she’s never alone.
This is awesome James, when together it makes the chair look like a recliner, thanks. Really enjoy your videos and appreciate your teaching style.

I was in a band in the late 80s. We were called Bandsaw. Ironically our number one hit was "Rough Bumps".
I would by a ticket just to say that I had seen a bandsaw sing. Music to my ears 😊

Do you think it’s possible to down size the ottoman for the kids size Adirondack chair thinking how long the curve legs should be
do put some kind outdoor treament to protect the wood?

I like that you have machining tools! Can you do a video on what you do with them? Is that gray 1236 a cnc lathe?

@@KingsFineWoodworking that sounds like a blast! Thanks for the reply!
James what’s the purpose of the carpet padding, you were using when you were sanding the wood?

My customers won't be getting that. The chair already takes too long to build, lol.
