My boy Diesel is visual but doing both allows either to work on its own when desired. Thank Beau 🥰

He's too sharp to fall for any nonsense. I hope he earned some kind of treats after his experiment here. The gaze says it all.

Yes, he knows what’s what. He was getting tired of my nonsense. He got extra yummy treats - I know better than to not pay him. 😁

Sorry , I did not answer the question you asked , But yes , Visual here will override vocal . Visual starts here when they were a puppy , With the WP , I could tell her to sit or down and she would look at me sometimes , but when I added the hand command , she went right down. 3 weeks ago in a practice ring for rally Advanced , we came up on a sign for a stop/ down , Stop is stop , not a sit / then down , for some stupid reason , when we stopped , I told her to sit but gave her the hand signal to down , she went to her down and disregarded my vocal command , as did Beau in your video
As we have moved up in rally , Visual has become the best way to cue her into our next exercise / sign . Visual may be the best tool in the box to use when training . Your demonstration proves that . Thanks
