Beau Works Out…..His Nose? - Washington, D.C., USA

Beau and I haven’t done any nosework for quite some time. This is super sloppy but he had a blast! 10 hides using birch scent. I did use small pieces of chicken hot dog on 3 or 4 of the tins to help him, but I was really pleased with how well he remembered what to do. I was especially pleased with his quick location of the tins that were 4-feet off the floor. My mistakes: I should have had him on his nosework harness with a long line and I should have gone back to collect the tins instead of making him wait. But, it is such fun to watch him work and he had a great time doing something different on a hot, late summer day.
