I've lived in a lot of different places both in america and in asia (Korea/Japan). In asian countries and most countries in general, the lighter the skin the better. Asian girls as a whole do tend to flock to white men, thats somewhat true. HOWEVER, depending on where you are in the US you'll find that the opposite can happen. Its all about the community.

In Japan, its different. Whether men or women there like to get tanned and prefer to have darker skin. Girls who are attracted to white men or any foreign guys are usually called left overs( amari-mono) in Japan. They could not get with Japanese men maybe because they could not fit the japanese beauty standard so they go for foreigners.
