Three scriptures pop up in my mind. Romans 10:18, the preaching of Jesus was already done in the first century. Acts 17:2 and 18:4 shows that it was only very limited time used in what JWs would call an official service. One scriptures which has always puzzled me is Matthew 28:19 until I realized that there were only one name and the name of the Father and of the holy spirit is Jesus. There are many translation errors from Greek to English. Matthew 28:19 also has been mistranslated and has been used as an implement of control by the churches since the 1st century. For me Micah 6:8 ( not the NWT) pretty much sums up what God expects from us. Simplicity at its finest

I think it’s because they are told they should be like Jesus. The Word of God. The JWs have no freedom to serve as God wills them to, they are instead strapped to the overwhelmingly heavy yoke of jahovah. All of them follow each other down the same rut in the the road leading to their father johoveh.
Yes its a calling in itself. As much as we are all encouraged to pray continually there are levels of authority so some believers are given authority to pray against principalities and powers on behalf of individuals and groups and nations. As intercessors for nations. They are given specific direction on how and when to pray plus Revelation into God’s purpose and realities of the spirit realm.

Why would God want people to squander their lives away doing something he could do himself with ease. Doesn't God want people to live their lives enjoying their families and experiencing everything good and bad and learning from it? I doubt God wants a bunch of beardless robots going around preaching new light which then becomes old light because it was wrong all in his name causing people to turn away from them because of the false teachings. This may cost lives if it were true that one has to be a JW to be saved. All the while this goes on with the claim they have and are guided by the Holy Spirit. What a bunch of mumbo.

I already know you’re going to disagree with the correct spirit directed understanding of Galatians 1:15 which in no way in the biblical Greek speaks of Paul’s predestination. In verse 15 there is no Greek equivalent to translate what Paul said, as predestination. Were you actually reading from a Bible translation that actually eisegetically inserts “predestination” into that verse as if Paul is saying that he was chosen and predestined before his birth? Or did you put that caveat in there yourself? “Separated me from my mothers womb“.-A comparison of other passages where the phrase is used seems to make it very clear that the sense is rather “from the moment of my birth“ than “from before my birth“. (See psalms 22:10; Isaiah 49:1; Isaiah 49:5; Matthew19:12; Acts 3:2; Acts 14:8.) From the moment that he became a living and conscious human being he was marked out in the purpose of God for his future mission. “Called me”-the call is identical, with the conversion of the apostle through the vision, which appeared to him on the way to Damascus. As the apostle was conscious of having done nothing to deserve so great a mark of divine favor it is set down entirely to an act of grace. My comment is just a polite commentary to you from my studies and comprehension. Yes, if God chooses, he knows what kind of person we’re likely to be but to say he predestines individuals is to say there is no free will, God has already fated individuals who will die and who will live forever makes no sense whatsoever. Is it our will to exercise faith in God or not?, YES! Jehovah does not make a decision for us, he foresees it. The line of reasoning that we’re all destined to our pre-destined fate is irrational, illogical, goofiness. God created us in his image with free will. Yahweh has a purpose, and he will carry it out, but to say that we’re all pre-programmed to a certain salvation from God, or eternal non-existence is to deny the nature of our loving God. It’s as stupid as believing humans have an eternal soul, and that he would send people to an eternal hell of burning torment for all eternity is nothing more than God dishonoring blasphemy. Jehovah does not predestine or program people to be loyal servants, or disloyal lawless sinners, it is a choice he leaves totally up to us, as individuals created in his image. I realise JW theology is very persistent and colours our understanding and thinking even years after leaving. I address in my video how pre-destination and free will work - God has a pre-written book for us to live out but it’s up to US to CHOOSE to step into it or parts of that potential we have. I think it’s because they are told they should be like Jesus. The Word of God. The JWs have no freedom to serve as God wills them to, they are instead strapped to the overwhelmingly heavy yoke of jahovah. Why would God want people to squander their lives away doing something he could do himself with ease. Doesn't God want people to live their lives enjoying their families and experiencing everything good and bad and learning from it? I already know you’re going to disagree with the correct spirit directed understanding of Galatians 1:15 which in no way in the biblical Greek speaks of Paul’s predestination. In verse 15 there is no Greek equivalent to translate what Paul said, as predestination. Yes, if God chooses, he knows what kind of person we’re likely to be but to say he predestines individuals is to say there is no free will, God has already fated individuals who will die and who will live forever makes no sense whatsoever. Is it our will to exercise faith in God or not?, YES! Jehovah does not make a decision for us, he foresees it.
The line of reasoning that we’re all destined to our pre-destined fate is irrational, illogical, goofiness. God created us in his image with free will. Yahweh has a purpose, and he will carry it out, but to say that we’re all pre-programmed to a certain salvation from God, or eternal non-existence is to deny the nature of our loving God.
It’s as stupid as believing humans have an eternal soul, and that he would send people to an eternal hell of burning torment for all eternity is nothing more than God dishonoring blasphemy. Jehovah does not predestine or program people to be loyal servants, or disloyal lawless sinners, it is a choice he leaves totally up to us, as individuals created in his image. To believe otherwise is to dishonor and deny Yahweh, and the one whom he sent forth. After leaving the cult being born after 40 plus years I can say I have no idea if god even exists. There was no proof for him then and there is none now. The only thing I know for sure is I am glad to be out of this cult.
