Anytime I talk to someone who never been a Jw about my experience they get confused or they don’t understand and I don’t mind explaining sometimes but sometimes it gets too much to explain my Truama all the time lmao. So it’s nice to meet people who understand and remember that I’m not alone. Makes me less depressed

Thank you for your video. I've been wanting to attend an ex-jw meetup in Atlanta but was always apprehensive. They are really nice and cool people! Totally opposite of what apostates are supposed to be according to Watchtower. 😊

I am an ex-Catholic, and they have the craziest religious beliefs. The craziest thing they believe in is transubstantiation which is the belief that the bread and the whine become the literal body and blood of Jesus during communion. That's crazier than anything the any other religion believes in.
A lot of Christian’s believe in that lol. The JW’s do too which is crazy

Catholicism believes that it's the literal body and blood of Jesus; they believe that they are the true religion because only a Catholic priest has the power to change crackers and grape juice into the literal body and blood of a 2,000-year-old zombie.

But imagine disfellowshipping her?😮 Don't think our mum even told the elders as she'd have been really embarrassed. My sons would goof around pretending to steal, smoke, do drugs. It's what teenage boys do goofing around with their friends.

Very good video. Ngl, I see Jehovah’s Witness as a Controlling Religion or more like a dictatorship. All these controlling rules & sinning even in the tiniest, makes you lose contact with family who is in that religion. If that’s the case, that religion shouldn’t exist cause we are all sinners. It’s a mockery of Christianity & it’s not love. God is Love, but JW’s are a different story

I quench every time I think about how I believe that crap for 10 years
IMHO - the first mistake by Eva was to run- as a "good" JW mother- immediately to tell the elders about her son. Big mistake. Maybe there was more to it than what Eva's is saying. But whatever. Going to the elders to "discuss" family issues about children etc is often just courting further drawn out trouble. There are some elders that just love involving themselves in an authoritative way in other peoples businesses and want to know every minute detail of some issue. Want to avoid that? Don't tell them. Of course the leadership also says that if you see someone doing "a wrong thing" you have to tell them they they need to self report to an elder - or - of course they will "have to" report it for you. Gripes, with friends like that who needs enemies?
@fifthdimension1984 I understand what you’re saying but as an indoctrinated JW, you think you are doing the right thing and helping your child by talking to the elders. I did it myself, unfortunately. But now we are out. My son is 17 and he is free of all of that. I feel bad for what I did by talking to the elders when he got into a little bit of trouble, but I thought I was helping. Instead, I was hurting him. I’m so happy he forgave me and we are so close. I was in for 40 years. He was in his whole life. We left last year and he is starting college in August. Something he was discouraged from doing by one of the elders he was close to so that he could do more for the organization. Of course that elder is stressed beyond belief and can barely get by because he has no education and no real skills in anything.
I really hate this organisation, i feel so much pitty for the people who are in this religion and dont know better. Really feel sorry 😢for
Gotta let them on their journey and hope they will realize it one day as well

After seeing over the years all the evidence concerning this religion: the false prophecies, coverup of child sexual abuse,changing of the blood doctrine, dark history of the watchtower society and it's leaders and the cruel and inhumane policy of shunning which has also changed over the years.A person would have to be filled with guilt and fear or brainwashed to return to this toxic religious cult.
