Halo Wars Reach mod now with MkIV armour.

- I made a low poly version of the cinematic model for the MkIV armour and got it all textured and rigged up. There's still some slight skinning issues that need polish but nothing major. Also the backpack slot isn't working atm but otherwise it looks and feels pretty good.
For those asking: This is for my 3rd person Halo Wars mod in Halo Reach. It will feature ground and air-based massive vehicular combat with fully functional base mechanics and a points system as well as a suite of new sandbox items and cinematic cutscenes. It's a very ambitious mod where I'm constantly pushing and discovering the limitations of the Reach engine. There is no set time-frame for this project to be done however I am working consistently on it. In the end there will be 3 versions of the map. A full campaign mission, a Firefight map, and a multiplayer map.
I've recently decided to make the mission inherently 3rd person as both a way to make the experience feel fresh and interesting as well as being a subtle nod to Halo's original inception as a 3rd person adventure shooter/ RTS. Subscribe and follow my videos to see progress as it happens. - เกม
Mk IV on the Halo Reach body and seeing it do Evade...just feels like its meant to be.
Noble team was originally supposed to be a team of Spartan II's in the mjlonir suits probably why it fits perfectlym
this type of shit is what we would have had, 343 just has been struggling so bad for no reason when the community is right in front of them for years telling them what we wanna play. Not only that bungie has laid an amazing foundation to build off of, not too sure what happened up to this point.

Terrible graphics and physics, horrible armor designs, predatory monetization system and barely any in-game earnable content. Everything feels half-assed and depressing. And we’re missing so many features from previous games like assassinations and playable elites… game is hot 🚮

Agreed, but the evade animation looks incredibly goofy on spartans
Halo Reach still FEELS like the best Halo to me. I loved the fall damage, health under the shield, and ASSASSINATIONS.

I never understood why there wasn't an optional third person camera setting in either Halo games. This video proves how cool the concept is. Heres hoping 343 implements it to MCC at some point.

So excited for this, all we need now is an SPI mesh.
This should totally be the framework for a Halo Wars Spin off that takes Halo's 3p seconds of fun and dials it up to 11 by turning the agility and mobility up a notch and even adding in more melee options and specific melee animations for closing distance between enemies after performing the combat roles, but without overtaking the gunplay. Yes, it would probably feel more arcady in a way, but that's the great thing about spin-offs, I would play this in a heartbeat and drop $40-$60 on it, no questions asked. Wink wink Microsoft and 343, you better be listening! Also give this guy a job! Great work my friend! Keep it up!
Unbelievable. I really need to temper expectations here, because I'm almost expecting you to deliver on a style and graphical fidelity similar to the Blur cinematics, as opposed to more realistic scale.
But so far man? This is blur tier. I really hope you go there. Thank you for bringing this to First Person, I'm really stoked to see what comes next.

Dude has done so little to the game (in the grander scheme of things), yet has made a completely different experience.

I was thinking about doing this with the halo infinte model. I didnt know the cinematic models were available from wars, so this is way better. I be playing this for sure.

Evade was such a cool ability. I would much rather have a Halo game without sprint, and have evade on a cooldown. This spartan looks so badass moving around.

Wow! Did you made this from scratch to fit Reach skeleton? Or did you use the Infinite's model? Because shaders and textures looks so cool.
Looks like they made a low poly version from the Halo Wars 1 cinematic model. It's definitely not the infinite one.
@@benjamingoodman2690 I'm not sure. He could be able to port the ingame version from any Halo title armor but, how exactly he could take the cinematic one? It made the work easier porting the Infinite one.
Also, the butt of the Spartan is small enough to match with Infinite's skeleton. Maybe he could reshaped it for Reach.
I did indeed use the cinematic model from Blur Studio as the high poly. Saved me having to do it myself.

I'm fascinated by this incidental 3rd person high-movement shooter kind of gameplay, with interesting ai to fight against i'd love a game that just plays like this tbh. like faster helldivers. like helldivers where you're a spartan and not a terrified 19 year old.

Maaaaaan this is exactly what i think we need as well. Im always saying if we could duck and dive around the battle field like this we would truly be spartan like. We have been nerfed all these years playing as chief with a stiff back and legs or some shit. 😂 never did the spartan Idea justice. This on the other hand. Looks hella scary . And the 3rd person Perspective ability to change to 1st person. Wow. Keep it up. This is the game we All want.
