So it means I can't use the sensors to change the color of a light ? Like if I want to detect when the postman come I want one light to become green, I can't do that with this kit ?
@@NasiLemakTech thanks so much for the info. is the alarm loud enough that can be heard by a neighbor? and also do you have idea how far can the sensor be away from the hub?
The alarm is not that loud to be honest. Xiaomi has stated they will implement a feature in Mijia app so that it will play the alarm sound to you connected smart speakers. Not sure if this function is available now or not. As for the distance, we only tested up to 10 metres away. The rest probably depends on your home layout
the sensors working with bateries?
Hi, do you know what is the max range the gateway can reach?
I'm not sure about that. It varies from house to house as the number of walls between the gateway and the sensors affect the total range too.
Are the sensors water proof? Will put it outside on our gate.
Nope. They're not waterproof. Not even weatherproof tbh
@@NasiLemakTech alright! Thanks for the reply. Great video by the way! ☺️

It can trigger the light but not change its color.
What kind of sensor would differentiate between the postman and a random visitor?
Can't think of any ready-made product that can do that for now. I guess you can program your own with an Arduino
hi, does this work w/ siri or just the aqara hub?
It does work with Apple HomeKit, so I guess it works with Siri?
