  • The series finale! This is where it all comes together. This is the easy part once you've got your head around the last 3 videos.

Very good video, not many firms do it. One thing to consider when figuring out the pad ht, whilst the hts maybe similar it doesn't mean the volume of dirt is equal ie m3. I model fairly similar to yourself, but have a seperate view where I can work out the volume based off filled regions then have a seperate schedule where I input both of the ht and the M2 to work out the M3 (Meters cubed) to ensure qa accuracy for the builder.
You should be really congratulated on the way you've worked this out, I guenuinley don't know many firms that do this.

Thanks so much for your comment mate! You're spot on that the only flaw of this process is that we don't get any volumetric data, but luckily we haven't been asked to provide it (yet) and usually the 60/40 cut/fill rule should cover most residential projects.

Yeah mate it's a line based detail component - let me know if you want to see a quick video on how to make one?

Very nice and smooth workflow! Much better than using the native Revit Pad.
Have you tried using Environment for Revit? it can cut some time off your work with great site design tools.

      Thanks mate!
I've avoided using plugins for Revit as some of the junior staff in our office use LT so we need processes which work for everyone

Props if you can figure out how to model this in Revit 2024 and toposolids now 😂

We don't normally get into the 'new' version of Revit until later in the year but they've pulled the rug out from under me here so i'll have to jump in early haha

@@RevitSmart I've managed a workflow using voids with the topo surface, I assure you, it is much easier and quick join the surface to walls and draw batters! Much easier
