If ma long wants to wij in this time, he will have to improve his backhand. His old style of covering the entire table with forehand wont work as consistently as before because age makes youvslower. He needs to make his backhand as strong as his forehand or at least 70 percent of his forehand

Never Saw the Goat this tilted in a Match before. This Game was mental diff for sure
He is definitely frustrated with his current form. He has had too many early exits this last couple of months and it is very difficult mentally to go through that stage were you are falling and don’t have much time left.
Ma is no longer as devastating, he plays the same, but a step slower. His backhand was always a bit weaker, but his forehand was peerless and finished most with one stroke. Now, he has to work hard but he’s older. He will lose more and matches like this as he ages. Does he want to still play?
Yes, but he said recently he wants to retire soon and play golf fr!!😂 🎾➡️🏒

yes, seems disappointing for Ma Long to lose to foreign players, but Franziska is a strong player and he might win on occassions. Just cannot always expect foreign players to fall behind, they can catchup. According to Ma Long rank 3, cannot conclude it is a retire condition now.
he will 100% retire after the olympics (where he will play teams)
In the interview he did with Timo Boll, he said Timo is his inspiration and would like to keep playing as long as he has. Of course that might have changed.
Ma Long 4th set gone bad, could have won 3-1, 5th on a rare occassion even more bad, missing all the points.

那个没办法了. 他正手跑不到位了. 还有就是打到第5局年纪大了后 精力已经不够了, 没法focus了. 前面几局都是开局后一路领先. 到第5局无数自己的失误, 开局就落后好多. 对方不失误的话他连李sangsu都赢不了.
