I am Polish and have a Filipina wife. We got married last year in May. I've been to the Philippines twice. The first time was our meeting and the second time was our wedding. Now we are in the process of arranging a visa to Poland for my wife. As a Pole, I think that Robert experienced a big culture shock at the beginning. There was a lot going on and he couldn't find his way through it all. Too many people around him. I would feel the same way, but my wife and I lived differently when I was in the Philippines. I met her family but we also had a lot of time for ourselves. My advice is that if you love each other, stay together. You have it easier because he has seen the Philippines and you have seen Poland MJ. The decision is yours. Good luck!
Robbie did come first time and visit on a tourist visa, and was showed a great time by you MJ. I hope you prepared yourself that he will need to return at some stage back to his family and sort things out, maybe return back to his job etc. Long distance can be hard, but also can work as long as both of you stay in a daily scheduled video call. Long term i am not sure if you spend say 3 months in poland, and robbie spends 3 months in phillipines etc.. depending on visa's etc, untill a long term solution is sorted. But you both showed positive signs of a healthy relationship. Well done! Stay positive!

You were after a "Western Guy" and this should have been part of the equation when deciding to look for one . Western guys have their own country of origin and making drastic changes can be an issue. If you were expecting him to just drop his own life and live in the village with you is not a good way to plan a future. Robbie has decades of work left in him and I am assuming he has a fulltime job in Poland. Maybe you should move with him wherever that may be. Living in the Philippines is not for everyone also. A relation is all about give and take and compromise... I believe you may have thought he would drop everything and live in your circle. You're a TH-camr, at this present time. It would make more sense for you to go to him as you are more flexible. If it is your family holding you back then the relationship may not go on. It's up to you. This may all sound harsh but it is a reality.

I was in a LDR with my Filipina fiancé for 2.5 years, now happily living together here in Australia for almost 3 years. Those 2.5 years were worth every second for us. Yeah, you're right, NeilGunns. A couple has to think this through before getting too close, really close as in sleeping together. It really doesn't make sense if you just met someone not too long ago and expect them to drop everything and move in with you. But just as you said we really don't know squat about the entire situation. But feeling sad is normal in situations like this..who wants to end the happy times...(honeymoon period) but if there is some consolation that the separation is temporary, then the loneliness can be tolerated. You can do it Mel & Robbie! I believe you can. I did long distance relationship with my now wife for 8 years. Believe you me if it lasted that long online it will last even longer when your finally together. 2009 till 2017 me and my fiancee would log on at the same time "daily" and any holiday event we were there doing screen time together. It was a little rough because of the 12 hr time difference, but yes finally I was able to get her from Leyte to Florida and that was 7 years ago and to this day we love and respect each other so much as if we were still newlyweds so yeah it can be done, me and my wife and many more are living proof. It doesn't have to last that long but because of my job at the time paid so little that it took me sometime, got a license in my profession and the next town over a new job. Then I made things happen, I visited Philippines 1st time flying again since i was a tiny kid, I was nervous but I pressed on. Visited her there, cried when we parted then went back again a year later and picked her up and married her in about a week. Its been the best ever since! 🤩✌ all for love🥰

You remind me of Ave who is also a vlogger and married to a Norwegian vlogger Martin Sol Haugen. I watched them at the very beginning how they met, fell in love, and started their LDR romance. I've seen Ave's vlog when she cried every time Martin leaves her or when they went in their separate ways. They are meant to be together, they are now happily married and expecting their first child. There will be many obstacles in any relationship especially LDR, but if you both love each other enough, love can overcome and conquer all. Ave and Martin are the cutest couple and sooo in love! I like them very much and watch their separate vlogs whenever I can. After traveling the world, it’s wonderful that they chose to settle in Manila where the action is and where they have a gorgeous home and cool Filipino friends. They’re also very close to both sets of family. Ave is from Bicol where I’m from and is a proud Bicolana. She has a brilliant future in entertaining and decorating. She’s quite the chef also.

These are one of the many sacrifices a filippina has to make. Because he has a job to go back to in his home country! He cannot sacrifice and leave his job. It is very difficult for a foreign man just to dump his work,house/ apartment and sell up everything. He also has to make sure that if he has to stay in Phils he also has to be able to generate an income for himself and also stay productive. So Maljean you need to talk and sort out what you really want from a relationship! Lots of sacrifices are needed in this kind of set up! All the best.
Yep. She will absolutely need to leave the Philippines if this relationship will have any chance long term. She will struggle in Poland. She is once again jumping into yet another relationship without thinking about basic compatibility issues. This relationship is doomed to fail like the last one.
I'm a similar age to Robbie, and married to a Filipina. We tried to make it work with me living in the Philippines with her but there's simply no practical lobg term opportunities for most young foreigners there and too many opportunities in the West. You also have to think about things like retirement and pensions. I'm speaking from experience here. Luckily I'm from Australia which is a much better place for a Filipina than Europe and we are able to live there instead.
That is the nature of LDRs. A cycle of being apart for a long time, being together for a few weeks, then being apart for a long time, again…. Eventually you will both find a way to be together permanently.

A little confusing. Maybe I missed something along the way. Did Robbie not have a deadline of when he had to return to Poland for work. Women on matter what country need and want what masculinity brings into our lives. Robbie is not of retirement age and will need to get back to reality of life in Poland. You are a Filipina that loves your beautiful country and loving family. I don't think there will ever be a move for you outside of your happy world. You just have to find a man that can join you in that loving reality. You have been with Robbie for quite a while and have created a loving friendship but I don't feel a romantic relationship. Your heart will hurt as your friend leaves you, but I think you will better understand that possibly you were finding every excuse to love him the way you wanted to be loved, and Robbie was not able to give you that................for me, it was not evident on your channel. I speak what I see and of course I do not know everything, and only you know the outcome. My best wishes to both of you especially in the last few days as it will be difficult to say goodbye to someone that has been a part of your life for a good amount of time.
you actually said the thoughts on what i was thinking in a gentle way, also it could be robbies nature that he doesnt express himself (introvert), and does love mj, but from the outside i didnt see that deep emotional connection, may grow over time, but at the moment it will be a state of anxiety for both oif them if they want to make a decision to be together physically. It is such a long way away, and the contrasts of the countries are vastly different. MJ also has created the houses in the village in provincial cebu with family and friends. Vingle opted for a local cebuan for marriage, and local stability may outweigh the pro's of being with a western man. Time will tell.
I am married to an American I met when I used to work in a German hospital. I never had a long-distance relationship cause he took me with him when he was transferred back to the US If it is meant to be they can be together again. It doesn't matter where you live or what Country you are people all over the world are alike there are good and bad people who depend on you to get along with all kinds of people I was also originally from the Philippines I got lucky to get a good husband and been married forever.

There was a lot going on and he couldn't find his way through it all. Too many people around him. I would feel the same way, but my wife and I lived differently when I was in the Philippines. I met her family but we also had a lot of time for ourselves. My advice is that if you love each other, stay together. You have it easier because he has seen the Philippines and you have seen Poland MJ. The decision is yours. Good luck!
Robbie did come first time and visit on a tourist visa, and was showed a great time by you MJ. I hope you prepared yourself that he will need to return at some stage back to his family and sort things out, maybe return back to his job etc. Long distance can be hard, but also can work as long as both of you stay in a daily scheduled video call. Long term i am not sure if you spend say 3 months in poland, and robbie spends 3 months in phillipines etc.. depending on visa's etc, untill a long term solution is sorted. But you both showed positive signs of a healthy relationship. Well done! Stay positive!

You were after a "Western Guy" and this should have been part of the equation when deciding to look for one . Western guys have their own country of origin and making drastic changes can be an issue. If you were expecting him to just drop his own life and live in the village with you is not a good way to plan a future. Robbie has decades of work left in him and I am assuming he has a fulltime job in Poland. Maybe you should move with him wherever that may be. Living in the Philippines is not for everyone also. A relation is all about give and take and compromise... I believe you may have thought he would drop everything and live in your circle. You're a TH-camr, at this present time. It would make more sense for you to go to him as you are more flexible. If it is your family holding you back then the relationship may not go on. It's up to you. Yeah, you're right, NeilGunns. A couple has to think this through before getting too close, really close as in sleeping together. It really doesn't make sense if you just met someone not too long ago and expect them to drop everything and move in with you. But just as you said we really don't know squat about the entire situation. But feeling sad is normal in situations like this..who wants to end the happy times...(honeymoon period) but if there is some consolation that the separation is temporary, then the loneliness can be tolerated. Believe you me if it lasted that long online it will last even longer when your finally together. 2009 till 2017 me and my fiancee would log on at the same time "daily" and any holiday event we were there doing screen time together. It was a little rough because of the 12 hr time difference, but yes finally I was able to get her from Leyte to Florida and that was 7 years ago and to this day we love and respect each other so much as if we were still newlyweds so yeah it can be done, me and my wife and many more are living proof. It doesn't have to last that long but because of my job at the time paid so little that it took me sometime, got a license in my profession and the next town over a new job. Then I made things happen, I visited Philippines 1st time flying again since i was a tiny kid, I was nervous but I pressed on. Visited her there, cried when we parted then went back again a year later and picked her up and married her in about a week. Its been the best ever since! 🤩✌ all for love🥰

You remind me of Ave who is also a vlogger and married to a Norwegian vlogger Martin Sol Haugen. I watched them at the very beginning how they met, fell in love, and started their LDR romance. I've seen Ave's vlog when she cried every time Martin leaves her or when they went in their separate ways. They are meant to be together, they are now happily married and expecting their first child.
There will be many obstacles in any relationship especially LDR, but if you both love each other enough, love can overcome and conquer all.

Ave and Martin are the cutest couple and sooo in love! I like them very much and watch their separate vlogs whenever I can. After traveling the world, it’s wonderful that they chose to settle in Manila where the action is and where they have a gorgeous home and cool Filipino friends. They’re also very close to both sets of family. Ave is from Bicol where I’m from and is a proud Bicolana. She has a brilliant future in entertaining and decorating. She’s quite the chef also.

These are one of the many sacrifices a filippina has to make. Because he has a job to go back to in his home country! He cannot sacrifice and leave his job. It is very difficult for a foreign man just to dump his work,house/ apartment and sell up everything. He also has to make sure that if he has to stay in Phils he also has to be able to generate an income for himself and also stay productive. So Maljean you need to talk and sort out what you really want from a relationship! Lots of sacrifices are needed in this kind of set up! All the best.

Yep. She will absolutely need to leave the Philippines if this relationship will have any chance long term. She will struggle in Poland. She is once again jumping into yet another relationship without thinking about basic compatibility issues. This relationship is doomed to fail like the last one.
I'm a similar age to Robbie, and married to a Filipina. We tried to make it work with me living in the Philippines with her but there's simply no practical lobg term opportunities for most young foreigners there and too many opportunities in the West. You also have to think about things like retirement and pensions. I'm speaking from experience here. Luckily I'm from Australia which is a much better place for a Filipina than Europe and we are able to live there instead.

A little confusing. Maybe I missed something along the way. Did Robbie not have a deadline of when he had to return to Poland for work. Women on matter what country need and want what masculinity brings into our lives. Robbie is not of retirement age and will need to get back to reality of life in Poland. You are a Filipina that loves your beautiful country and loving family. I don't think there will ever be a move for you outside of your happy world. You just have to find a man that can join you in that loving reality. You have been with Robbie for quite a while and have created a loving friendship but I don't feel a romantic relationship. Your heart will hurt as your friend leaves you, but I think you will better understand that possibly you were finding every excuse to love him the way you wanted to be loved, and Robbie was not able to give you that................for me, it was not evident on your channel. I speak what I see and of course I do not know everything, and only you know the outcome. you actually said the thoughts on what i was thinking in a gentle way, also it could be robbies nature that he doesnt express himself (introvert), and does love mj, but from the outside i didnt see that deep emotional connection, may grow over time, but at the moment it will be a state of anxiety for both oif them if they want to make a decision to be together physically. It is such a long way away, and the contrasts of the countries are vastly different. MJ also has created the houses in the village in provincial cebu with family and friends. Vingle opted for a local cebuan for marriage, and local stability may outweigh the pro's of being with a western man. Time will tell.
I am married to an American I met when I used to work in a German hospital. I never had a long-distance relationship cause he took me with him when he was transferred back to the US If it is meant to be they can be together again. It doesn't matter where you live or what Country you are people all over the world are alike there are good and bad people who depend on you to get along with all kinds of people I was also originally from the Philippines I got lucky to get a good husband and been married forever.
