Lived there for most of my life.
I watched as every year the city got worse and worse. Cramped, dirty, and absolutely nothing to do but visit other places around Fremont.
Who ever is running Fremont only cares about the Mission area. Everywhere else is run down.
There is no sense of community in Fremont either as most people live there as a satellite location for commuting to their tech jobs.
Sorry, but I’m glad I got out when I did.

The 101? That's nowhere near Fremont. Neither is Cal Train.

I heard it is the happiest city to live in but I would rather rent an Airbnb there for vacation and to do fun stuff instead of paying so much money to live there.

I live in Fremont, Ca and there isn't no nightlife entertainment here at all kinda boring if you ask me. Used to be a bowling alley here. All these greedy selfish pricks care about is high rise.

I used to live in the Bay Area and I can confirm. The only fun thing to do there is a water park that is only open half-day during the summer months. Other than that, nothing except for taking walks or hikes. The city is too expensive to live in. No tourism even.
There are no high rises in Fremont. The tallest building in Fremont is a 14-story Marriott. If you want high rises, go to San Jose.

I don’t really see any pros living there. It is too expensive, and for what? Nothing to do in Fremont either. You would have to go to sf or San Jose to actually do something worthwhile.

"Fremont has so much to offer"
Yeah, that's a bit of an exaggeration.

Fremont is a mid to high mid class area mostly immigrants. It is safe, have excellent weather, expensive and boring as hell if you are a single person. However it is central to the three central areas of the Bay area. Central to the 3 airports too. If you are single do not come to Fremont. If you are foodie it is your place specially if you like ethnic food. In some things the video woman is exaggerating some of the good parts. There is just not much to do here and the city or the cities around do not have central areas you can call down town. There is nothing. Actually other than San Francisco and to a lesser part Oakland and minimal part San Jose, there is not a place you can call central in the entire bay area.

I drove uber for a year some years agi sticking only in the Tri-Cities area of Fremont, Newark and Union City. Nothing but homes and shops.

In Fremont, the home is your entertainment. You come in from work and stay at home. If you live in a rental and your job is not in Fremont, why?

I just got back from fremont, 2024. What a disgusting shithole. Witnessed a car robbery in broad daylight. Weeds overgrown, trash all over the freeway, trash on streets,no pride whatsoever, just a dump. Thank you for ruining the fremont i once loved. Shame on fremont

Yep, I was born there. Grew up in Fremont in the 1970's-1980's. It has changed so much, and most of it is not good. Very crowded and lots of trash. Back in the day, there was a roller rink, miniature golf, and a couple of bowling alleys. Not saying Fremont was ever amazing, but it was way better than it is now.
