Some mulled wine and cider for the adults, and hot coco for the kids for the first few hours, then get inside and eat, take the kids out for a bit longer and then have the kids cuddle up with blankets and watch a movie? I have the HYSA with Ally Bank. It’s an online bank so it’s easy and quick to set up your account and free. Ally Bank has the “bucket system” which is kind of like digital envelopes (up to 8 or 10 per acct) Example if you have $1k and you have 10 sinking funds, you can put $100 or whatever amount you’d like in each bucket representing each sinking fund (hope I make sense). Interest rate is 3.3% annual currently. Example: $1k (you will receive $33 in interest annually or $2.75 monthly) It doesn’t seem like much but it’s way more than a regular savings acct gives and it adds up. I know Capital One is also popular but I don’t know much about it. Let me know if you have more questions 😊

It’ll have you link your account from your main bank to transfer. It’s so easy. The transfers do take 3 business days since it’s from one bank to another. But I also opened a checking account with Ally so if I ever needed the money ASAP then I can transfer to that checking and it’s there automatically since it’s the same bank. Hope I’m making sense. There’s really no need for it since I use credit cards then pay them but you never know 😅
