You're right, I was never taught the "triangle inequality theory." Thank you!

The 3-4-5 rule is used all the time in construction for getting a quick and accurate right angle.

I'm reading a 100 year old textbook on geometry. Will it be helpful now?

I might be obtuse, but I'm sometimes "right".

What about the different types of triangles that exist (scalene, isosceles, and equilateral)? Scalene triangles have all of the angles and sides of different amounts and lengths. Isosceles triangles have two equal angles and side lengths, while equilateral triangles have all three of their angles and sides of equal amounts and lengths, respectively. In addition, with an equilateral triangle, all three of the angles must be 60 degrees each. In the video, you stated the Pythagorean Theorem, where a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Even though this only works with right-angled triangles, there is a law of cosines that may apply to other triangles. In this case, the formula would be a^2 + b^2 - 2ab cos C = c^2. The cosine of 90 degrees is equal to 0, which explains why you need only use the a^2 + b^2 = c^2 formula for right-angled triangles. The small letters, a, b, and c represent the sides of the triangle, while the capital letters, A, B, and C represent the angles opposite the side with the small letter (angle A is opposite of side a, angle B is opposite of side b, and angle C is opposite side c). Just some more triangle tidbits.
