The fact that so many people are complaining that it’s boring. They’re not truly into this show if this episode was boring, this was one of the best episodes that euphoria has put out and has opened so many eyes and minds that people are too afraid or close minded to get into. This had an amazing dialogue and this episode alone carries euphoria and the message.
I am so surprised people saw this as boring. The dialogue and the script was incredible! Same with the lady speaking about her experiences and that was so beautiful.
i skimmed through it the first time and was half on my phone as i was expecting it to be more like a normal episode and was slightly disappointed (i didnt read about the context of it before watching) but when i realised and watched it again i fell in love with this perspective. hearing more about the way Rue's mind works and her struggling with suicidality aswell was all very emotional and i've watched it a few times now! i think if people thought it was boring they should give it another chance, same with jules ep. i love that they delved deeper into them

This was an unofficial therapy session for many of us... Especially those dealing with personal issues and addiction. I felt so many of these lines being acted and brought to life by these two brilliant actors.

Check out Zendaya’s new Netflix movie coming out soon. It’s also in this same format with limited cast and in primarily one setting. Due to COVID, we may go back to “theatre” type of shows and movies where it’ll be heavily focused on brilliant dialogue to carry the story. I’m enticed to see what happens because I’m glad we can scale back on the super hero’s and get back to character driven stories.

I think it's just her lying to Ali because she feels embarrassed to admit she actually did get it? I don't know, I took it as a comedy moment from the conversation, like a bit of air among all these serious topics.
I did not realise I reached out my hand to my computer to like hold rue’s hand when ali/martin held rue’s hand when she was talking about eliminating herself. That’s how emotionally invested I am to this show.
I know I'm in the minority here but I was kind glad Rue was able to let Jules go. I dont think Rues relationship with Jules is healthy, she's just substituting one addiction for another.
I don't think she let her go. She is doing some reflecting right now which is very important for her mental health. But the reference of the director as "soulmates" is kinda interesting. Maybe it isn't over yet. P.S. I am with you on this one. I didn't like this dynamic one bit from the beginning but i guess we have to wait for more.

I have nothing against people who disliked this episode but in my personal opinion this was my favorite out of the whole season. It didn't require any hectic shock factor, or obscene scenes (not that those weren't cool) it was just raw and reflective and just beautiful. The way they held space for both the characters and the audience was just beautiful. Thanks so much for the performance and direction!

I was not expecting that I would relate so much to this episode. Literally better than my therapy sessions this really made me self reflect. Thank you.
Few days ago I have the nerve to ask myself why did I like this serie so much, as if it was just a good-efects and well-developed-way-to-relate-a-story show... And watching this special episode just reminded me that it is so much more than that. Sure, some people can find it boring or not as interesting as the season 1 multi-scenes episodes, whatever. Yes, I'm whatevering. This got way too deep in me. Rue's words and body lenguage really found a way to transmit her feelings and making them yours even if you have never been in a similar situation. But having at least an idea of what she's talking about and feeling like... getting to put a tag on those complicated, annoying and hurting thoughts and feelings... My point is that this was beyond special, beyond deep and meaningfull in so many ways that I'm still kinda processing all the impact that it could have, all the good that it could do; just if listened at the right moment and paid special attention. Both as prevention and as help, tho, specially as help. 'Cause just as Rue, sometimes people feel and think in some really dark ways, so much dark that it seems impossible to believe that it can be fixed, or maybe it was possible, maybe right before that time/situation when they messed up really bad and now the idea of beeing fixed is rather impossible or simply they're not worthy of being fixed. They found a way to put into words some feelings that are really hard to express and even to recognize, and that was just priceless. If I keep writing, I'll spoil it. Feeling so much and not having the abitity to put them into words that perfectly is slowly killing me. The show is awesome. This Special episode was beyond awesome. And I bet the second season will be worth all the waiting.

I loved the concept of staying inside the conversation. It allowed us to just, listen, and that’s something that I miss about old movies and shows. It just offers a kind of natural way of feeling emotions, without any fireworks. Simple, efficient, strong.
The thing that i found really cool about the previous episodes, in season 1 was that the camera never stopped moving, it was never stagnant, so symbolize rue’s brain constantly moving
Same here, I literally just got done watching it, and the emotions started coming in towards the end. 😭 It was so intense I felt like I was sitting at the table with them.
The director is working with Zendaya on a Netflix film and it has a lot of the same dynamics as this episode. Expect to see more “plays” with limited cast and settings. I feel like we’ve been crashed with so many big budget action and superhero films, it’s a relief to see directors slow things down and put so much into beautiful dialogue and have amazing actors keep our attention through pure emotion on screen.

So much magic happening right now. this episode, hands down, was the most creative one in a way. It's not easy keeping peoples attention one whole episode in the same location. Yet, all while having one conversation they enter both the past and present. absolute talent on all ends.
I love how characters you didn't feel had enough potential end up surprising you in such a way, Ali is a great example with the special episode. I'm so excited also to know more about Lexi!! Even season one only introduced Cassie as a child, but never Lexi (in a more personal way). This series is soooo good!

Euphoria is honestly my favorite show in the world, so no I'm not watching it for just the "neon and glitter." One of my favorite things about the show is the amount of detail and complexity they put into every single character, and the conversation in this episode was so important and well done. However, I think we can all agree this wasn't what we were expecting from the episode, like he said they had to take out the entire structure of the show so I'm not gonna lie and say I wasn't disappointed. I wish they had posted it on their youtube or something so I didn't go into it expecting a real episode when it was more like watching a podcast.

The director is working with Zendaya on a Netflix film and it has a lot of the same dynamics as this episode. Expect to see more “plays” with limited cast and settings. I feel like we’ve been crashed with so many big budget action and superhero films, it’s a relief to see directors slow things down and put so much into beautiful dialogue and have amazing actors keep our attention through pure emotion on screen.

Zendaya and Coleman Domingo.......this was a masterclass in acting.....it was akin to a singer who can belt out notes flat footed. Bravo BRAVO!!!!

So much magic happening right now. this episode, hands down, was the most creative one in a way. It's not easy keeping peoples attention one whole episode in the same location. Yet, all while having one conversation they enter both the past and present. absolute talent on all ends.
I love how characters you didn't feel had enough potential end up surprising you in such a way, Ali is a great example with the special episode. I'm so excited also to know more about Lexi!! Even season one only introduced Cassie as a child, but never Lexi (in a more personal way). This series is soooo good!
When i was watching the episode, i thought “alright we are not going to see anything but this conversation”
But then, i didn’t realise i was finishing the episode. I loved a lot all the conversation. I connected with Rue, with all her feelings. Loved it.

Euphoria is honestly my favorite show in the world, so no I'm not watching it for just the "neon and glitter." One of my favorite things about the show is the amount of detail and complexity they put into every single character, and the conversation in this episode was so important and well done. However, I think we can all agree this wasn't what we were expecting from the episode, like he said they had to take out the entire structure of the show so I'm not gonna lie and say I wasn't disappointed. I wish they had posted it on their youtube or something so I didn't go into it expecting a real episode when it was more like watching a podcast.
