@@AuTo69420 I kind of feel ya. Deal I made with the wife was no buying locks, picks every once in a while but no locks. Mine are like 99% used. Nothing wrong with that. Something is better than nothing.
Me too! I am also mobility compromised (only half cripple lol) I have purchased 2 padlocks, found about 5 (but hard to walk) - if it wasn't for the Locksport community being so generous I wouldn't be where I am with it.
I was wondering about the sandman, those sparrows ethed profiles are hit & miss. Great display items for sure. - I have 2 (Monkey Paw/Medusa) & was looking at the Sandman 🤔 so thx for demonstration
@@spontaneousdisintegration No problem. Definitely fun pick to mess around with. Wasn’t expecting such great results! Hoping to do more soon. Stayed tuned, never know what I’ll get into next lol.
@@guidothumb2148 oh…. Some of the doorknobs I have are from a semi high security location. Not sure if the knobs come like that or someone added them later.
How do you feel about those long turners with the twist in it.. I'm intrigued lol. Also though that looks like something that you could easily make from a windshield wiper blade if you found one with a wider insert
@@ricksanchez3204 Literally just started using them. Always experimenting lol. After reading the description about the Sandman, I thought maybe they would be a good fit and sure enough. Been messing around with them in other manners too. We shall see. Never thought I would ever need them but as I always say: Tension is so important. Versatility is key it seems…
@PETEfromPA agreed 💯 I've been experimenting making my own out of windshield wiper blade inserts and dude I was really impressed.. and then like an idiot I started like trying to really make it mine polish your dad make it look nice I gave the ends like a rounded tip so it wouldn't catch cut or damage anything inside the key way and I got carried away and forgot that we're dealing in thousandths of an inch here so literally just by giving it a light polish on the top I went back and it didn't work whatsoever LOL it removed just enough material that it was enough to make all the difference and I went from popping open the $50 Ci practice lock like McNally with just one quick jab from a quad rake to not being able to get the thing open whatsoever with that tool 😂😂😂. But I'm about to go outside and get me a "clean slate" of the back of an old van I still have enough material of the other inserts but this one is a bit wider and I'm going to try and make one of these you're using in this video.
Very nice. How many locks do you have mounted on that door?
Not enough ha! 16 doorknobs, 4 deadbolts, 2 Tubular, 4 Waffer and currently 1 padlock. Thanks again for the fun Pick and watching.
I wish I had the cash to get random locks and knobs, instead I'm stuck picking up the cut locks off job sites

The sandman comes in handy sometimes. What kind of doorknobs have spools in them?
@@guidothumb2148 I have found spool pins in Schlage and Defiant doorknobs and also Schlage deadbolts.
