Now a portal opens bringing villains from the past into Earth! To make things worse, Goku, Bulma, and the rests' use of the Dragon Balls have filled them with negative energy, creating seven Shadow Dragons! It’s crazy to me that both GT and the Super manga both remembered the fact that 17 and 18’s bombs were removed yet the Super anime didn’t acknowledge it when 17 fake self destructed and made it seem like he survived off of dumb luck. The manga even acknowledged him saying it was a bluff and him reminding Krillin “you’re the one that had them removed remember” 😂
The ending of GT is just utterly beautiful.
Honestly the Shadow Dragon arc is so underrated, it was perfect way to put Dragon Ball to rest for almost 20 years 🐉
Imagine if Cell and Frieza trained in hell this whole time. There's no way Goku would've even stand a chance.

DragonBall GT with the slowed guitar GT music made me cry, watching this again with this playing in my head almost made me tear up again in front of my wife, truly a life filling story, R.I.P Akira Toriyama

Imagine if Gohan, Goten, Trunks and Pan had also got hit with the Blutz Waves and turned Super Saiyan 4.
Super saiyan 4 Goten and Trunks would have been very cool but I think Gohan would have realistically been the only other saiyan who could have got it in GT. Maybe I should have a future what if explore this idea though since it is an interesting idea 🤔

I agree completely! It would have been amazing to see an adult Gotenks fusión fight against the shadow dragons. Such a missed opportunity, but at least we got to see his design in dragon ball heroes

I never watched GT in my life, or dragon ball in general to be honest, and i've always been a "silent" fan for the most part, catching glipses of the show everyday through videos on youtube.
I never tought that db could've been this good, especially this version that i always heard people criticize a lot for no aparent reason, but after watching this video (and the other one before this of course) i realized just how deep a show like db could be, and have a series with such a calm yet mature ending.
DBGT feels like a greater success for a DBZ successor than DBS.

I really have a soft spot for Super Hell Fighter 17 arc. However I’m very aware it’s because this arc gets really cool adaptation in the early video games on ps2 his boss fight in tenkaichi 3 being a favorite of mine.

Considering that Movie-Villains like Cooler escaped from hell too during the Super-17 Arc, I think it would‘ve been pretty cool to see other DBZ-Movie villains escaping and getting some more screen time too, like DBZ Broly, Super Android 13 or Turles
God I really like SSJ4 Gogeta's design that and the fanon idea that he technically was a SSJG cuz of the 4 saiyans giving him power and then Vegeat fusing adding 1 more to the count. God Hyorinjutsu's animation explaining that was so cool
I always wondered this about SSJ4 Gogeta. Why is his hair red, his body fur brown and his eyes blue? He seems like a totally different character.
I think it's like Gotenk when he go Ssj3 when Goten and Trunks can't go when they Aren't Fuse So Goku and Vegeta May have Achieved a New Form and this Form may be The Actually Ssj5
According to the guide books, Gogeta’s power in GT has unlimited power and that he surpasses any character, even from any alternate dimension (excluding beings that are above three dimensional as he doesn’t scale to infinite Zamasu or God Toppo)

Y'know, maybe it's just me, but it would have been cool to see the Demon King Piccolo as the one-star dragon and replace Omega Shenron at the end. It would have made the whole "God is the Devil" concept come full circle in some sense. Perhaps when he absorbs all the Dragon Balls, he would have obtained the Orange Namekian form? That would be a cool touch! It also would be cool to see him be directly responsible for activating the Shadow Dragons during the Super Android 17 saga. After all, I don't think that we've gotten confirmation on whether he was a member of the Warrior clan or the Dragon clan. Considering that the Nameless Namekian was a Dragon clan, I think that would be perfectly logical. As for the power difference, you could certainly give him a power boost from all the negative energy in the Dragon Balls. There are also probably other ways, such as assimilation with his children for example. There are just a lot of ideas you could make with this. Let me know what you guys think!

As much as I don’t like most of GT, I think its ending is the perfect ending for dragon ball. I honestly can’t think of many stories that have a better ending.

And now I can say something (I waited until this second part was up) back when I played the old Budokai Tenkaichi games, Super 17 was a go to option for me when playing because he was just that easy to use.

I didn’t like the fight against Super 17. Because they wanted to focus on his energy absorption so much, they wrote all of the skilled fighters to seem idiotic and only shoot ki based attacks the entire time. It felt too forced.
This is how the dragon ball franchise should have ended in cannon as well

I can't help but wonder if ss4 gogeta used Soul Breaker or if Goku did the spirit bomb earlier, Omega would be defeated easier. Those moves are more effective against evil beings.
What if you made a theory called “What if the Z Fighters’ secret was exposed?”? As in something akin to Spider-Man No Way Home where everyone who doesn’t know them somehow finds out about the Z fighters and their powers, how some of them are aliens, how Bulma is involved, how Mr. Satan lied about his success against Cell, etc?

The Super 17 Saga is one of the worst Story Arcs in all of "GT," I'm glad "Super" did Android 17 Justice.
The Shadow Dragons Saga was a slight Improvement for being a bit longer Story Arc than the last, but still severely Flawed with one-off Villains and battle of Gogeta vs Omega Shenron was one of the weakest and worst Fights ever.
Honestly, while in execution, they weren't great, GT's concepts and designs were absolute peak in this franchise. If the show was longer and given more care, it could've been untouched even today.
