  • In today’s video, we’re giving the Turbo Truck a nice little upgrade. We’ll be installing a GFB Boost Controller to help us manage that turbo better, plus we’re swapping out the exhaust for something that sounds and performs even better.
    What to Expect:
A laid-back installation of the GFB Boost Controller
A look at the new exhaust system
Some sound tests and performance comparisons
If you’re into trucks or just curious about car mods, stick around. And don’t forget to drop your thoughts in the comments.

I think the bed exhaust was sick. Would love to see it ran again

Yeah you and me both, I think it’s the route we will go, why have an empty cutout.

Depends on how much boost I want to push, im thinking around 20lbs so should be around 750 wheel!

Hey bro for now just idle up the truck with the screw on the throttle body so u can still move it around and check stuff , but be sure to put it back when you get properly tuned since it will skew things , but that’s what I used do to be able to drive them after a cam swap and before I could tune myself

Awesome man, thanks for the tip. Yeah we definitely want to run it a bit more to get some bugs fixed before the tune, though we have ran it a little more doesn’t hurt. 🤙

Did you at least gap piston rings? And I don’t think that plastic intake manifold is going to handle boost very well 😅 I can’t wait to see some rips tho, don’t forget new 02 sensors and spark plugs before dyno day.

Stock ls tbss intake manifold (plastic)is good for 30psi of boost that’s plenty for a ls

I'm running a ported NNbs intake on my turbo setup. 80mm t6 on 14lbs right now,no problem

Ring gap is recommended but not needed, Lots of people run the plastic intakes with lots of boost, they do perfectly fine.
