Agree that 99% of the gold out there is in a particular type of quartz or altered rock. I disagree that finding gold is luck. Finally, not all gold deposits are in high iron quartz rocks. Maybe in Australia. Many times yes! But you're on the right track. Thank you for this video.

You gotta love that skankey quartz! Great video. I am not a geologist but have been wondering about the presence of litho-caps in the ash and tephra's of Arizona's Superstition Mountains. The Dutchman Mine is in Quartz and Hematite but Suppose gold were in soft black or red rock, what would that be? Slate? Graphite? Some type of basalt?

Thanks for the positive feedback. I’m no geologist either, I would think maybe a Schist. Best of luck I hope you get into some GOLD ⛏️👍

More likely it is a red and black hematite skarn system that was deposited in limestone, which decomposed to limonite with helping deepen the oxidation decomposing of the near surface portion of the hematite skarn system. Then the oxidized or free milling gold contained in the decomposed limonite easily releases the free milling gold. This was the highest grade while being the easiest to extract the gold contained in the red and black hematite skarn system. It was perfect for the old timer prospector/miner and small time operations of today.

The bigger the quartz vein the smaller the gold particles normally. You want veins a foot thick or less usually. Higher pressurization and surface contact with the host rock leads to better mineral leaching and deposition through depressurization.

I'm Afghan British recently. I was in Afghanistan looking for motherlode in the north of Afghanistan where 3 trillion gold deposits were announced by US geological survey and then I came across a huge quartz Wine - which was around 300 m long in half 0.5 meter wide 😳
Sticking out 100 m from the mountains all along..
It was located very dangerously you couldn't really reach it
    "But it was purely white"
No, I'm thinking of going from London in 2 weeks again to it ..
Watching your video made me think that there might not be anything in there..
