I actually come from Inner Mongolia and also I am a Muslim. Thank you for the video and it makes me feel so excited and homesick because I really want to go back... Time flies...
I had a mongolian friend in South Korea with the name of Amaar but he was not muslim. Also we have a small mongolian population in Quetta Pakistan and they are known as Hazaras and their language is hazarangi.
I love Hohhot, Inner Mongolia and have been traveling there since 1999 as my godchildren are from there, with their parents an all other relatives. The road with all the islamic structures is called the Muslim Road in Xianghe but no longer have these buildings.... my godchildren's father was once the Head of the Muslim community and their late grandfather, Hj Ibrahim built the Mosque in Xianghe....
Minaret (literally meaning Lighthouse) :A tall slender tower attached to a mosque, having one or more projecting balconies from which a muezzin summons the people to prayer.
Assalamo Alaikum Brothers and sisters love you from India and REQUESTING all ummah to do Dawah works continue world wide and Build Islamic Schools to create more and more Zakir Naik and Ahmed Deedats like Islamic preachers to explain Islam betters to non muslims and muslims as well. May Allah Bless and protect you and make Dawah works easy for all 'Ameen
Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Ah my ancestry comes from this land but i do not fully know of which province my great grandfather was from i will have to ask my grandfather about that but I have a picture of him and wow he look like a loyal warrior if messed with but he was born in Mongolia and i wish to understand this fierce country. May we all know our family history.
Thanks for the lovely video documenting the life of this historic muslim community. awesome architecture. The verse inscribed above the mosque's gate at minute 4:26 reads: يَسْـَٔلُكَ ٱلنَّاسُ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا "The people will question thee concerning the Hour(end of time). Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with Allah; what shall make thee know? perchance the Hour is nigh!'" Qur'an Al-Ahzaab 33:63
but it spread faster in SE Asia because the people had gods and knew what was worship. Chinese always kept Islam as a minority religion as they themselves were generally godless.
@ElementHunter hazaras , donxiang and boanan people are not mongols! and all kalmyks are buddhists! all mongols worship buddhism and few of mongols worship shamanism and christian!
