This song is such a complex mix of emotions - happiness, sorrow, regret, love, depression - that I was finding it hard to nail down the exact feeling it was trying to convey. I think I finally figured it out. In a word : *Vengeance*. It's the state of emotion of a protagonist who's out for vengeance - set out to do what had to be done - gun in his hand - even though he hated doing it. A man who's lost his family, lost it all , who was betrayed by a close friend. And now it's payback time.
