    I just found out about these tools after fighting with cords and gas powered BS for 14 years. I love the run time and ergonomic feel to the machines and even more I love that your family was all out doing something with an EGO tool at one point in the video. Team work makes the dream work 👏👏

    Suggestion, try using a silicone spray for lubing the blades. When using regular oil you are likely to either kill your plants or make them sick. The silicone spray attracts less debris and is not near as toxic for the plants as oil.

    Awesome! Thanks. I love that you mentioned the oil. As an older female who has never worked in the yard I appreciate information that seems obvious to some. I have some small pine tree shoots and some woods behind my house and wasn't sure which one to get. I would have loved to see it cutting some thicker branches

      I will have more videos on this in the future. You can't tell here, but when cutting these back as far as I did, I did take out some branches with a 3/4" diameter with ease. It truly has a professional feel to it.

      You could also spray some Pam vegetable oil on the edger . Mineral oil can contaminate the plants that you cut.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @heaval1, thin oils will not work here. Hedge trimmers need a thick oil that will stay in place as the blades work. I honesty use motor oil. I have had no adverse effects on the bushes that I trim with them. Also, for example, chainsaws use an even thicker oil then motor oil for their chains. Chainsaw bar oil is extremely thick because it has to stay put and be thick enough to lubricate the moving parts. Also, I have had no adverse effects when using my chainsaw on plants that were cut back.

    Can you tell me the end to end measurement of this fully extended? Wondering if its at least 8 ft

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here is our webpage link for EGO, more specifically the Multi Head. I have 4 EGO pages. I have pictures showing the Hedge trimmer with and without the extension. I also have Amazon links below those pics. I have made sure to use only actual Amazon links and not third party, but if Amazon is out they may revert to the next best buying option so double check. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-multi-head.html

    Nice man how heavy is it and how long does the battery last.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a little on the heavy side, but you can really feel the professional build of it. I don't know the exact weight of it. Now about the battery, I was able to do those bushes in the video with the smaller 2.5 ah battery on one charge. I will be honest, I have not done longer tests to see how long the batteries will run with this attachment. Thanks for watching. Multi head and attachment or individual tools?

      Around The Home attachehment platform for ego trimmer chainsaw etc or buy each tool as a stand alone. Thanks

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, so I believe that you are asking if I suggest that you buy the EGO multi-head system or the individual regular tools. That really depends on what you need. So, the string trimmer attachment for the multi-head is just like the regular string trimmer, but the other attachments are quite unique. That is not an easy question. The multi-head gives you the pole saw and the pole hedge trimmer which give you so much reach from the ground. Can't get that with anything else. I guess I would say if you have small trees and small hedges then you don't need the height advantage that the Multi-Head system gives you and just buy the standard tools. But if you could benefit from the height advantages that the Multi-head can give you then definitely buy it. It is amazing. And it also gives you a cultivator and a power sweeper option. Here is my web page link with all my EGO videos on it along with other EGO recourses that hopefully give you the info you need to make the best decision. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html

      Around The Home If quality is the same, I can save some money and have the extra reach with the multi head system it sounds like the way to go. Thank you!

    I have the ego blower and edger and love them both. I've been wanting to buy this attachment but cant see myself spending so much money for it. Ego is a great brand but I really wish they would come down on their prices. I heard there is a universal attachment that will fit the ego trimmer and it's only about $50 so I'm gonna check that out. Maybe I'll make a video about it. Nice video btw.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tell your friend you just tell them that's what's happening. Course, it helps if you start at a young age. Starting when they are pre-teen / teens already will come with challenges.

    I Have almost every ego tool that is made I am not impressed with the cutting ability of the hedge tremor it keeps struggling All the time making cuts On bushes it shouldn't have a problem with. Very disappointed. I have better results from a hand held battery operated pruning clipper

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's interesting, I have both the standalone hedge trimmer and the attachment for the Multi-Head. I am impressed with their cutting power and have had no trouble cutting back large bushes and trees with them. Small trees, not suggesting cutting limbs like a pole saw.

    Now you are thinking...if only Ego made a decapitation attachment
