@@Justgocamping Thanks Jamie! The first thing I thought when using this kayak was sleeping in it. But then there are a miriad of safety concerns to consider when sleeping on water :) Safety not always my strong suit, but yeh that kitchen set up is radical and the countless use cases for this kayak camping is pretty awesome. Just need to figure out a few tricks. Lesson 1, pee bottle lol
@@Simon.77752 Hey Simon! Thanks for your words! I thought the same thing when I first got it... bivvy, sleeping bag.. easy right? But what about if the kayak deflates in the night or you flip over for some reason. Stuck in a bivvy bag and a sleeping bag... Game over! Next one I will try synthetic quilt (open sleeping bag) with the emergency blanket. Also want to try with wet wetsuit to test how cold it gets!
@@HiddenHammock Keep watching and there will be more tips and tricks as I learn. Lesson 1, pee bottle. But you cant use a hammock or bivvy bag etc on water due to being trapped underwater ;)
I like the crazy idea and how you executed it with the cooking etc. It is common known that the cold has impact on your bladder. Number 2 could also be a mess on a kayak I guess. 😂 By the way, I send you an instagram message just recently. So you know.
@@oldirtybeuner Hey Beun! Sorry for not replying, but I haven't logged into insta for about 6 months, I don't like it. Can you copy it and send it to my email? admin@seamlesstradies.com.au , we can chat through there if thats ok? Luckily no misshaps with no 2's! So learnt alot on 1st mission, next mission going to try have a tarp :)
i wont lie i thought about doing this before but not with the mad setup you came up with. inspiring! interesting to hear the temperature wasnt an issue, i assumed that might have made it pretty hard but seemed like it wasnt too bad for ya
@@BasicStealthcamping See if you can beat me to camping under the harbour bridge! Lol . Cold not an issue, but to be clear it was not in an exposed location. Im not sure how well it would work being wet in the wind. Next time, im going to take a synthetic sleeping bag and open it up like a blanket quilt. Combined with the emergency blanket might work better. Im also coming up with a plan for a ridgeline above the kayak to set up a tarp if it rains. Lol.
@rangatrips good idea with the tarp. I actually like your space blanket idea as it seems a bit safer if for whatever reason you wake up in a sinking boat, a quilt might get tangled/too heavy particularly if disoriented. I'll let you take the crown of the harbour bridge lol too much security and people for my liking!
@BasicStealthcamping you would think it would be simple thing to do except for the safety issues, like even the tarp set up might not be ideal. Prob best camp in full scuba gear, airtank at the ready!
Omg. You’re certifiable.
Credit for thinking out of the box.
Genius set up, but a lot of crazy people are geniuses.

@ amazing how few campers and hammock campers think of bringing a pee can. Essential.
@Justgocamping never forgetting now!
Another great and very interesting post again ranga maybe a bivy bag would be useful on a trip like that atvb 👍
