In the last part of the sum , why are we considering the molecular mass of oxygen to be 16 and not 32? 16 is the atomic weight of Oxygen, but MW(O2)=16*2=32. The answer is correct though :)
Since the answer is correct..sir would have performed a teeny tiny mistake..we can overlook that right..

how do we get to know that these percentage( as mentioned in the question) are mole percentage not mass percentage??
Since we are dealing with gases...we tend to take the basis in moles. If case of solid or fluid components involved we take them in terms of mass.
