I store onions by nipping the roots and dry tops above the heal, then feed them down pantyhose legs and knot in between, drape over a beam. This is so pretty tho, I might give it a try.

I really appreciate the way you speak to your children. You don’t speak down to them, you are respectful and caring, you listen fully, and recognize their thoughts and opinions are just as valid as any adult opinions. Too many parents tend to do the opposite, and to be fair I understand why they do it since I had to train myself not to do that. I appreciate how you interact with them for the same reason I trained myself to do the same-we aren’t raising children, kids don’t need adults in order to be kids. We are raising adults, and once that thought locks in, it changes how you treat your children since you now know your target and what kind of adult you want to see when they are grown.

I have this habit of recounting my day before I go to sleep and I spend a lot of time reviewing how I talked to my kids, how I dealt with them when I was frustrated… and I fall short of my goals so often. Hearing feedback like this really helps to encourage and uplift me and inspire me to keep working on it. Thank you so much.❤️

@@LittleMountainRanch that’s a good habit to have, most people don’t do that quite simply because it’s too difficult for them to be completely honest in their self-assessment (can’t blame them there either, it is hard to be brutally honest with yourself at times, particularly if you don’t like what you are seeing). I have yet to meet a parent, myself wholeheartedly included, that can get to the end of a day and say there is nothing they would improve on or change from that day in regards to their interactions with their kids. Mini humans don’t come with an instruction manual and step by step video series on how to raise them, so we all do what we feel is best and what we have the strength for at any given moment. The fact that a complete stranger instantly recognized and commended how you interact with your children is a testament to how well you are doing, even on those days you don’t think you are. Also, don’t forget to give yourself some grace and forgiveness-you are human as well, and none of us can be on our top game every day.

If you cut off your onions and put them upside down in (wooden) crates, they store much longer than when you braid them (if they are upside down, the leftover moisture can drain out) Since I do that, I don't have any bad ones! Tip I saw from an English gardener and it works. I have stored onions for almost a year in that way

    • @LittleMountainRanch

Even if you don't put shelves, can you please bring a flashlight down there and show us everything? I'm so in awe of you, your life and your family. Someone posted here about storing them upside down in wooden crates - exactly what I have available so fingers crossed it works for longer storage. Thanks for video!! You're right about celery.
