Brilliant demo - the whole body mechanical system working in concert and in perfect balance - I'm working on it! Thanks again for posting.

Hi Ed, great to hear from you. Unfortunately I will not make it to Pro Jam this year due to work in Aspen and several key members of my staff working that event. I will be at liberty and few others in Feb.

Awesome skiing once again. You paint a great picture. Any exercises, away from the slopes, that will help build up core stability. Currently doing hanging leg lifts, vacuum planks, power crunch, and rollers but I am wondering if there is something better. It never seems to translate.

It sounds like you are doing some great work. Check out Fred Lapine's channel for some excellent dry-land training routines.

Thanks Jonathan! I tried to find Fred Lapine on you tube and goggle and nothing came up. Can you provide a link?

Thanks for the great video. For short radius turns, do you feel it to be linked hockey stop? Or we still have early edging like bigger turns?

I try to make my short turns more like bigger turns in that regard.

Thanks Jonathan for the info. Like the perfect mix of skiing action with the matching sound track. The combination creates a good video. Really inspiring.

At this stage I am not scheduled to deliver anything near Montreal this year. If you have a group to ski with I would be happy to try to schedule something. If this is of interest, feel free to contact me at jonthanballou@mac.com

Core stability doesn't teach anything. Relaxed upper body is where you should put the word Stable or just speak English and say, "Don't move your upper body other than a twist of the wrist for the pole plant. Do you see? That Teaches people what to do with their bodies. Also, your "Core" (Whatever that is), is in your upper body which starts at the hips and goes up from there.
1:00 Do you get all Goose Bumpy when you talk in Code? For those of you who want to learn to ski, he is saying, keep your upper body quiet as you change your weight from you downhill to your uphill arch and balance on that arch as the ski turns.
1:20 This allows the skis to turn the feet and legs while the upper body stays facing down the hill.
1:40 Changing your weight from the downhill to uphill foot as the skis pass under you, is what allows the skis to turn which creates a rhythm. Come on guys! People need to understand what you say so they can rely on something other than mimicking what they see because skiing is a little more than that. Mimicking won't help when their speed picks up or the slope gets steeper.
