At times I feel like the writers have kind of forgotten that Klaus was a superstar East German ski-jumper that Stan kidnapped and mind-transplanted in the 1980s rather than just a weird German fish. Not that that's necessarily a _bad_ thing, but still.

Gonna be honest here, never cared for how the family dunked on klaus. For a good 90% of the time it felt like the family loved one another and all the characters had decent growth from season to season and then they just turned klaus into the show's equal to meg. Meg style characters just aren't funny to me simply because who the hell treats their family like that, it makes these otherwise human feeling characters turn into family guy style monsters. The heart behind the show is what made American dad stand out from the other two shows created by seth, that and a few other things but the fact the family actually supported and loved each other was a giant feature. And to just jolt into the direction of a punching bag character just feels unnatural for the characters, that being said i'm not trying to whine on this or anything like that, just wanted to give my two cents on the topic.
I agree with you on the meg characters comment. Though in the case of Klaus, they always shat on him so it isn't really new. Though it does get kinda old
Yeah, it’s absolutely moronic. There’s nothing funny about it, it’s just pathetic writing. They even tried to make Francine a dumb blonde at one point when that’s not even close to her character. The character they destroyed the most is Stan though…he’s by far the most annoying character on the show now.
Lets not forget that this Episode introduced Nerfer who was forshadowed like 4 seasons ago from a throway line steve made in a college class with hailey.
One of them, yes. I love American Dad. In fact, I prefer AD and Futurama to Family Guy and The Simpsons. Some shows deserve just as much attention as others but American Dad and Futurama still remain very high on the Underrated List.
From the violin soundtrack from the beginning, which i can't place my finger on it, but its from Twilight Zone or something of that variety. So I'm guessing that it is an alternative reality.
Honestly it’s nice seeing klaus get on top even if it’s just for a moment lmao . Ik the show likes to make a joke abt him basically the Meg of American dad. But I feel like some episodes or season heavily like to push that narrative for ex recent ep of the house sitter ones or etc. Stuff were it pushes the characters bad points a lot like Roger’s golden turd eps or Francine being a bimbo and messing up Steve’s science projects. I personally see those episodes as just bad writing. But most of the time the family are good to each other and equally as shitty to eachother . They each have bad points and u can argue abt what u think is ‘not that bad’ but all in all they even each out. I would argue the only person who’s not that shitty is Jeff.
Klaus can take over a entire town but can't find a body for him.
I know right? You think that would be his #1 priority upon taking over Langley Falls.
I guess Klaus grew accustom to staying a fish just as Roger rather stay on Earth than returning to his home planet anytime soon.
At times I feel like the writers have kind of forgotten that Klaus was a superstar East German ski-jumper that Stan kidnapped and mind-transplanted in the 1980s rather than just a weird German fish.
