2 great things about this: 1. In Yakuza 4 the character profile for Minami says his favourite karaoke song is Get to the Top too meaning he probably took after Majima. 2. In Yakuza 0 Majima sings like a pro meaning somewhere over 25 years or so he just stopped giving a fuck and started to completely let loose like this.

The more I watch this and 24-Hour Cinderella, the more convinced I am that deep down inside Majima secretly dreams about being an idol. Not in an aspirational sense--he's too much of a realist--but like, "daydreams about performing for millions while singing in the shower" sort of way. Dead Souls ultimately failed as a game..... Oh not because of its wonky controls, not at all, because they didn't give this beautiful creature more karaoke songs like Machine Gun Kiss or Bakamitai.
Reminder that: 1) this happens during a zombie outbreak 2) contrary to 0's 24hr cindirella, the guys in the chorus are actually there cannonically. That means every time you sing this song you force this guys to love their job even more.

I've just realized that, at 1:39 (when Majima goes "Takai!") you can actually see the background dancers go into position for the pyramide. Except they don't get on top of each other, they awkwardly move to where they're supposed to be at.
They're actually bumping down the key of the song so that Majima could sing it, as it's typically reserved for the hostesses and such. So it's sung in a lower pitch than the original, basically. Truth about Majima being loud af though. 😂

Japanese voice acting will usually have the same person for both regular dialogue and any singing the role might need, so voice actors have the unwritten expectations of being able to do both. Ugaki Hidenari can sing just fine, 24hr Cinderella is proof, this is just what he tolerates better
