15may2024 1730hrs bke #SMT4181A bmw 523 came to a complete stop on lane 1 to give way to ambulance🤦♂️ quoted Is this how you give way to emergency vehicles
SNK9701C is the one not giving space to bmw to filter to Lane 2. After bmw stops, SNK9701C stops next to it and prevents the ambulance from overtaking the bmw.🥺
He thinking which clown causing the sudden jam on lane 1 and prolly wishing happy mother’s day to all the people with 1 line on the back of their license card too i guess. “Heng today i ride bike instead of car”
Could be a German. In Germany *(and Austria, Switzerland etc) the law (and it's a good law) is that when there is a traffic jam on the highway, or emergency vehicles need to get through, the vehicles on the fast lane (left lane there, right lane here) move all the way to the median, and every other lane should move to the outside, to create a 'Rettungsgasse'* (rescue lane) for the emergency vehicles to get through. so I suspect this driver may be German used to those rules and may not have leanrt that we (sadly) don't have that law here
@@qikaigao3991 exactly. This should be practiced here. Instead we have vehicles trying to change lanes, slowing down the ambulance, followed closely by ambulance chasers taking advantage of that freed up lane.
BMW went so close to the right barrier. U can see he really is trying to give way to the ambulance which for some reason didnt want to overtake despite the motorcycles finished passing. BMW driver should not be shamed for trying to help, although there are better ways like changing lane.
This is not a lack of knowledge issue. What does the traffic law here says? If the FT driving licence can be converted but he does not know what the laws here require him to do and do it the correct way here, as required? Who converted his driving licence?
Actually this is incorrect. In many other countries during slow traffic, the vehicles will give way in this manner so that the emergency vehicle can squeeze through middle (like motorcycle split lane). However in a highway, the correct and safe way is to yield the lane as early as possible.
Sadly sgp doesnt practice this culture of stopping for emergency vehicles, in fact some even block. I think its a good practice as every seconds count to save a life.
Many of yall are unaware of how people give way in other countries. At least he tried, better than some Singaporean drivers who don't give way at all. Well done BMW driver. Camcar kaypoh.
You know there were two cars that blocked the ambulance ... when the BMW stopped the vehicle on their left also stopped blocking the ambulance from by-passing the BMW ... I think maybe Singaporean driver so used to blocking others they just sub-consciously do it ... without realizing what is happening :D
in other countries they will try to spilt from two lanes to three lanes let the ambulance pass thru in the middle space that they created. But in Singapore we don't practice this .in Singapore we practice selfishness, they forgotten if one day they are the one inside the ambulance than no one give way
After reading much of comments here from foreign drivers n watching some international EMT responders....yes, even in UK they practice tis....but my question is tis: didn't we leave the shoulder lane (outer left lane) for emergency vehicles? Why our emergency vehicles are not utilising it? Moreover to exit expressway must filter to the outermost left lane? Rather than filtering to lane 1 then upon exit must filter back to lane 5, why not immediately use emergency lane n straight exit expressway....? Tis was wat i observed when my dad suffered a cardiac arrest n rushed to hospital....
sporeans were only taught to change lane to give way to ambulance and ambulance were taught to flash, horn & siren of course to tell vehicles keep off its lane.
Actually the BMW is giving way but just wrong procedures. In Singapore to give way to emergency vehicle is moved away from the lane not came to a stop to let the emergency vehicle pass. In foreign country yes indeed they stop to let the ambulance pass. Maybe the BMW got no chance to move to lane 2 so he stop. Anyway good job. Thanks
Good to see a motorist excercising their intelligence and applying common sense... which is more than I can say for the majority of motorists here in Singapore !... Just REMEMBER, it could be YOU in the back of that ambualnce on the way to A&E one day... are you LISTENING Singapore motorists ???
I was about to say that. In the usa you are supposed to stop on whichever side of the road you are on. I was chided by passing motorists for not doing that for a passing ambulance. Instead I had tried to filter into the next lane to give way to the ambulance, which gained the ire of other motorists .. Maybe the driver was American? 😅
I drive 995 ambulance, we can't overtake to left side, if our Amb accident with left car, we are at fault.because OVERTAKE from left side. (If change lane different, usual intention to go filter lane or following queue of left lane vehicles.
Whichever the case, I think I would like to give the white BMW the benefits of doubt. Hopefully one of this friend watching this video will teach/guide him on how he/she should give way to emergency services in Singapore. Although this is not what we practice over here, I think in some parts of the world - that’s how it is practice.
C'mon lah guys be it give way from left or right is still give way unlike the previous VD showing arrogant driver with stupid ego that don't give way to ambulance
BMW was doing right thing cos he wasnt able to filter left due to cam car and SNK behind (why stop??). Splitting lane bike trying to overtake while ambulance is moving out made it worse.
He really want to give way and then can go faster during this peak period. He also don't want to lose his priority on the lane. If he moved to lane 2, he will lose his position as it will be hard for him to move back to lane 1. So conclusion, give way as no no choice. Want to give way but kiasu.
This is what overseas people do when they see an ambulance... just that it is pretty unsafe to do it on lane 1 which is the fast lane. Should move over to lane 2.
He was trying to but no one in lane 2 would let him in, including the cam car. You can see they are looking for a gap to pullover then take the only option and pull right.
He tried to give way but a bit kuku bcos there is not enough space for he to give way on the right most lane. Common sense just signal left and the vehicle on the left will surely give way. Maybe not local? Nice try but...
A lot of drivers on SG road are foreigners now. I believe somewhere in Europe, it's the norm to keep to the sides if an emergency vehicle needs to pass. Singapore is no longer Singaporean anymore, we've gone international.
BMW driver Kiasu and selfish to the max, wanted to give way but stay in Lane 1 to keep his spot. Driver knew what he or she was doing. Dangerous though.
Where else could he go with a bunch of typically entitled Singapore drivers blocking lane 2? The gap doesn’t open up until the bmw decides to pull right as there is no other option, then the driver in lane 2 finally yields.
Respect That BMW driver. He is willing to scrap his car body towards the guard railing to give way to the ambulance. He deserve an award❤
Benefit of the doubt , think he really was genuienly trying to give way
Benefit of doubt? Obviously he was. What the fk?
At least he gives way. some others dont even give way hearing sirens and honks and seeing flashing lights.
SNK9701C is the one not giving space to bmw to filter to Lane 2. After bmw stops, SNK9701C stops next to it and prevents the ambulance from overtaking the bmw.🥺
the classic lane splitting bike...doing its thing regardless of road conditions. no wonder bike accidents keep going up

BM don’t equate to German
On Malaysia highways, cars also give way to emergency vehicles by splitting a lane out. In Singapore never seen such action
@@jimw8615 nobody said BM equate to German. Where did you read it?

So nice for the BMW to give way to the emergency vehicle 😊
im today old realising the cam car knows no courtesy and that SNK9701C is the idiot that block the ambulance

2) you google SG highway code, slowly down and give way and let the emergency vehicle overtake also can
cam driver why won't you give way for bmw to filter to your lane? smh

Must be FT. In US and Australia, all vehicles must stop at either side of the lane, leaving enough space for emergency vehicles to pass
He came from western Europe.. even the ambulance was confused
I think the driver didn't know what to do. He/she will learn. More importantly, intention was good. 👏

did he signal that he's giving way?

It’s the law in most other countries
Have to stop

Definitel licences not from Singapore.

Joker 🤡
BMW: This lane is mine; the ambulance can go by the next lane.
Definitely not locally born here. Another faked
looks like money can't buy common sense
confirm FT 💩
That's an unfathomable act. There was enough time for the driver to switch to lane 2 but he chose to stop in lane 1 to "GIVE WAY?"
This is the correct way to give way to ambulance in heavy traffic
BMW simply failed to read traffic situation. Failed miserably to use car power to accelerate, signal & promptly shift to lane 2. Problem solved.
BMW driver Kiasu and selfish to the max, wanted to give way but stay in Lane 1 to keep his spot. Driver knew what he or she was doing. Dangerous though.
Could be driving without license. Maybe an expat…
There are some people from SG who can learn a lot from expat drivers!!!
Huh? I don’t understand the common sense here. That’s not the way to give way.
Actually it's the best way to give way in busy traffic
@@michaelnewman880I see it as blocking one lane than giving way. Though I hv no idea wats the driver’s intent.

101% FT.
No need to guess.
Change lane also cannot know how to do.
Another South Asian?😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣
I think bmw wasnt able to filtre left due to the traffic pile up, because can see he tried to go to guardrail to create a space, benefit of doubt bah
I thought the driver blocked the Ambulance, but at least the driver stop and give way for the Ambulance to drive away.
