You know, I was thinking that, but is the only reason you're saying that because of the coloration? I did buy him from a store that said they sexed him at birth. typically panther chameleons colors don't come in until they are about 6 months old and he is only 3 months old. on most days I can see faint blues and reds, and that is not depicted in this video. I also see a slight bulge at the bottom near his tail which typically indicates a male. but'll keep yall updated
@@lsd_irl9941 I see! Yea, I based it on the coloration. Mine was more green when I got mine. But as you said he might be too young. I hope it's a male because that's what they sold you! :)
How did you feed Archie when you first got him? I got a chameleon that’s about the same size as Archie was when you first got him but he isn’t eating much when I’m trying to cup feed him. Love the progress update & how much he grew!
Hello lovely! I did a DIY method for cup feeding where I cut open a bottle leaving just an inch or 2 of the bottom of the bottle, and added some screen to the back that the bugs can walk on, (theres a bunchhh of youtube videos that explain the process better)and I just add my bugs in there, and whatever I plan to gut load them with. I did recently get a pair of tongs and have been working on building my trust with him, but I recently moved his enclosure over to our new house and he has been really mad at me ever since lol.
I think its a female I could be wrong and im basing this on the base of the tail not just the color anyway you def need to know if its male or female. If it is female ahe will lay eggs even if you DoNot mate her. If its a male then obvioulsy no worries I would think you would know by now but at 3 months u should see good colors. Anyway good luck with Archie
@@lsd_irl9941 ok well please put in a lya bin do a little research and you will find out how she will lay eggs regardless on if she is mated I have a male and female both very cool in thier own way good luck
And here is another tip if you haven't already try dubia roaches. I know roaches i get it but they are more healthy actually live longer easier to care for and 2 things that are way better then crickets. they dont smell and they aren't noisy. Unless you live in the southwest or Florida I wouldn't worry about them escaping and then infesting your house they need 90°or higher to breed. Once I switched i havent used a cricket since. Obviously up to you but I'm way happy I switched anyway again good luck.
yay! loved the update, I recently got my baby boy panther chameleon :)
Great video! That looks like a female to me, but I could be 100% wrong so don't take my word for it :)
