Thanks for the video! Would it be easier if instead of including the third level in the 2x3, we directly performed separate pairwise ANOVAs (i.e. 2 separate 2x2s instead of one 2x3)? Does that change our interpretation of results in any way as far as the interactions are concerned? EDIT: I guess we'd miss out on any overall main effects because we don't have all the data included on one analysis. wondering if there's anything else i'm missing.
Thank you very much for your videos. They are so helpful. I would like to find which statistical tests I could use or if you can correct my ideas. Data : *nominal* (years (2 levels), species (4 levels), Day of the years (17 levels for the 1st year and 19 levels for the 2nd year)); *continue* (quantity of starch in differents group of samples). Samples : Stems, needles and buds. Purpose 1 : compare the quantity of starch among species and years. I think it is possible to use ANOVA 2 way. Purpose 2 : Find if there is a relation between the day of the year and the quantity of starch and the sens of this relation in the whole sample and in each group of sample. I think we can use the spearman correlation. Purpose 3 : Compare the groups of samples (stems, needles and buds) and find if the quantity of starch varies depending on plant organ. I think about repeated measures ANOVA or mixed models. The last one is too big for my head. Please help! Any tips would be appreciate. Thank you.
Why is it a 2x3 design? Also what numbers will my design be (? x ?) if my independent variable is ethnicity and the dependent variables would be questionnaire 1 pre surprise examination and questionnaire 2 post surprise examination. Would my surprise examination be a dependent variable if I am not collecting data for it? Thank you very much.
Sounds like you have a mixed-design: one between-subjects factor (ethnicity) and one within-subjects factor (pre and post). Check this out: th-cam.com/video/TsavI1pgGoQ/w-d-xo.html
sir please guide me, i have conducted a test to know the result of personality on their academic achivement, at secondary level students and obtain the marks in three level 1- low academic achivment, 2- average academic achivment 3-high achademic achivement of male and female stuent of rural and urban area, i have to calculate the anova test (with interaction and error value )for above data , please help me how to fill variable . (i have the data of 1 male student, 2 female student, total marks and there are three (who obtain) levels-low, avarage and high academic achivement

sir, how you made equal group
What does interaction of variables mean?
