I would love to see this port. That free pool gets way crazy during spring break and or when other ships are in port also. Lots of ships have issues docking due to the waves and it’s way to hard to tender. Really great port you don’t even have to leave the area
Dolphins in a cage are cringe.
We loved the one in Cozumel. The dolphins had a huge area in the ocean to swim when they weren't doing the sessions with tourists. They seemed extremely happy and healthy. Much better than the crap in Costa Maya.

You lucked out at that port! We stopped there on one of or Royal Caribbean cruises and it was extremely crowded. There were multiple ships at the port on the day we went. I agree that it is a nice port. You were able to enjoy it way more though because your ship was the only one there that day.
Yeah I went there on NCL Breakaway in 2018. It was really crowded and hard to enjoy, but fortunately I did a mud spa excursion which made up for it.
We were on the Carnival Jubilee and docked there, along with two other big ships. The place was packed. The vendors were pushier than usual. We were told that the use of the loungers around the pool required that you spend $17.50 per chair on drinks and/or food. That's not too bad, but the loungers and food an on the Jubilee were free and not as crowded on port day. Next time we dock there and we're the only ship in port, I'll stay longer and take advantage of the pool.
You keep saying “it’s so themed” as in it’s a Mexican port built in Mexico with a Mexican theme 😂 and it was built just as a port it wasn’t a city so it should be a nice port.

We went on Celebrity in 2010 shortly after a Hurricane and there was literally nothing. Went again in 2017 on the Harmony and everything was completely packed and built out. When larger ships are in you can not move in that shopping area. There are shops further out if you take the tram and nice beaches
Kyle, the big pole you asked are the “Voladores de Papantla” “The Papantla Flyers “ I is a Mexican tradition to represent the year. 4 flyers come down flying, around the sun to represent a complete year. Each one of the flyers is a season of the year. You have to see them.
The walkways above are part of the Aviary experience. We did that last October-- great birds and views!

I like that you actually walk around and show us different things to do at each port and the food! I am a big foodie so I love seeing the different restaurants onboard. I really enjoyed watching this video. I cruise a lot, but never on Virgin, now I am SO pumped for my May 28, 2025 cruise next year with my sister! And you guys are just the cutest to watch, LOL!

We were in Costa Maya a few weeks ago with RCCL and did a tubing excursion in Bacalar! You and Jojo would love it! Next time!!
We stopped at Costa Maya on our NCL break-away cruise last year. We actually did the dolphin encounter with our kiddos in that very lagoon you filmed! All these cruise videos are making me want to book another cruise!
Was just in Costa Maya a couple of weeks ago on liberty of seas! There was another royal ship in port with us. The port is fabulous and its free except for the dolphin experience and the birds exhibit. The port was more lively than what you are showing. We had a blast. Can’t wait to go back there soon…

They can handle big cruise ships in Costa Maya. We were on Harmony of the Seas and it was one of our ports. It’s a nicely done port area! Grab a marg!!!

Costa Maya is a nice port when your ship is the only one ! cruise on the MSC Meraviglia last year and we were 3 big ships that day , no fun too crowded .

That port is beautiful! Between the pool, beach, shops and other activities, you really wouldn't have to leave to have a great time.

As we get older it's nice to have a few drinks to have a good time and it's nice to see you have a few drinks with friends but just seeing you have fun, laugh and be the Kyle we know and love all these years is amazing in these videos! Love the cruise videos and I love seeing you with Jo Jo and friends and having fun! Great series!
Again happy birthday JoJo! Mine is May 31, so definitely loving all this! Especially loving watching both of you doing this a day apart. One of the things I love about TH-cam is being able to see the same experience from different people's perspectives. Doubly so if multiple people are hanging out together and filming at the same exact time. It shows the diversity of the human experience.

We’ve been there with Royal Caribbean, the port was so crowded that it was literally standing room only … the over crowding made it the worst port day ever.
Makes me feel a little weird getting your passport stamped at a diamond store. Any unofficial stamps in your passport can cause issues and even cause your passport to be invalid. The state department even puts out warnings about getting novelty or souvenir stamps.....

Costa Maya is a nice port but when there is 4-5 ships there it is packed. I think their items are expensive to buy.

I went to Costa Maya on Symphony in 2020 and there was about 4 ships docked so it was PACKED. Couldn't move. Looks like a nice port when it's quiet.
Looks like a Great cruise and port to take sisters and girlfriends. Trystan, Alexa, Casey and Krista would be a Blast! Skip gambling. It's sad. 😢

Royal does go to this port! We were just there with Harmony! You have to see the performers on that huge pole you pointed out! The men climb up there and spin tied by their ankle by ropes which they tie themselves and there are no safety harness.
I have been to Costa Maya on one of my cruises on a Norwegian cruise the Norwegian Prima. I really miss it.

I went on the MSC SeaShore 2 weeks ago. Before I went on the ship, I was questioning if I would like it. I had gone on MSC once before, and I wasn't crazy about it. I loved the Seashore. ( My favorite cruise line is Royal) We went to Taino Bay in the Dominican Republic. It was similar to Costa Maya. Taino Bay was gorgeous. You would love it. It's newer than Costa Maya. Pools are included. So many ports are turning into this where pools and beaches are right there.
Good news.....Just to let you know Icon is about to dock in Costa Maya now ...she stops here every other week on western Caribbean itinerary..... looks a fantastic port,stay well!

Puerto plata Taino bay is similar to this. Has a pool and a huge lazy river with lots of shopping and tons of restaurants.
The big (SLR) cameras seem like overkill - honestly it often seems to look/feel too dark (be it a night scene or not.) 4k doesn't matter if it's just more dark pixels/details on the screen. The iPhone/Cell Phone, 360-cam , is just fine. (Sorry Sony/expensive-cam) 📷 ✌
Costa Maya looks like a great port, versatile, organized & beautiful, enjoy!

Costa Maya is great! That waterpark is so much fun! Very relaxing! I went before the pandemic but it just recently opened back up! I need to go back!

The Giant pole you showed in Costa Maya is part of a show they put on, they climb it and swing on it. Definitely worth watching if you are there during it. Not sure the schedule they do it but it’s very cool to watch
We visited Costa Maya in October 2021 on the Disney Fantasy just after the restart. We did a Mayan Ruins excursion that we booked through the ship and when we returned back to the port before we could shop we had to first return to the ship and check-in (due to all the COVID protocols they had in place at the time) and then we could go back out and explore. Unfortunately a thunder storm came in so we decided to just stay on the ship. There didn't appear to be much open then anyway unfortunately. We are looking forward to going back to Costa Maya soon. Due to the history and the Mayan Ruins it was definitely one of our favorite ports too! Thank you for taking us around and showing all there is to do!

Hi Kyle, I was at costa Maya almost 20 years ago on my 1st Cruise. The port has changed a lot except for the long pier - I remember that 😂 I didn't do excursions there, I got freaked out over the armed guards. I see you embraced Scarlet Night & jumped in the pool, that's great!! BTW, I love the Groot 👍
We've been tp Costa Maya a few times. It's always windy and and big waves, that's why people call it costa maybe.
You messed up your passport. That stamp is a souvenir stamp. Not an official country stamp. You’re gonna have an issue reentering the US. Do NOT get your passport stamped at a Diamond International. Your TA should have told you this.

If he hasn’t had issues yet he might in the future. A souvenir stamp is NOT a valid entry stamp and should NOT be in a passport. It technically can invalidate the passport.
this is not true, they don't consider souvenir stamps defacing a passport so you wont have an issue, like 80% of stamps in the Caribbean are not official stamps. Add into that, ive never had anyone look through my stamps when entering any country, the look at the photo portion and thats it.

There are so many great moments in this vlog! From the movie scenarios, dolphins, the bug digging a hole in the sign, Jo Jo’s dancing, and Kyle’s scream at the Iquana. And those were just at the port. I do really want to go to Costa Maya now.
