My dad got the surgery and was really simple and effective. Doing both hands at the same time was tough in terms of recovery but it worked out pretty well either way.

I’ve had carpal tunnel for a long time. I empathize completely and hope that you are able to get better relief than I!!!

I've always been near sighted, the only benefit is I can see up close really well 5 inches from my face. I can tell you gripping things tightly and allowing the wrists to bend can lead to problems over time. I used to be into bare knuckle and over did with hand strengthening exercises. I changed my approach and the problems went away.

You know the technology for eye health is much better than it was when we were kids, my littlest has glasses because she has a muscle issue and her eyes don’t focus properly but she has perfect eyesight otherwise. the glasses are temporary.

Hope that gets sorted out/healed up for you. I can relate, as I am dealing with a similar issue. I have a case of tennis elbow in my dominant right elbow/forearm, even though the last time I dabbled in tennis was for two weeks in freshmen PE in the mid-80's. It affects my ability to do pretty much anything. It sucks.

Tennis elbow has to run its course. But you don’t have to baby it. Keep trying to work it. Also use a tennis ball and roll it hard over the tendons. This made it go away for me. But it did take months and months. It come from grip carry things and pulling things like a rolling suitcase.

I have tendonitis in both wrists, so my taste in knives has adjusted. I still love balisongs, even to carry, but more intense flipping for fun is not part of it anymore.

I feel you jeff I have been flipping for about 6 or 7 years I luckily don't have any medical reasons to stop which I am apologetic for but with that amount of time spent into this hobby its hard for it be exciting anymore and as I grow older I have to use my time for college and other parts of my life that give me more joy and are more important I still wanna be flipping and I wanna get back into doing it often but it is hard to have the spark in it that I used to hope all goes well for you

Trying to get healthier. Trying to do the right thing. Little by little. : That is like saying ' I'll quit smoking by just smoking One cigarette a day.
--That's not the correct Attitude. You should make getting Healthy a PRIORITY. Getting(Being) Healthy should be your 24/7, 365 Hobby.

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, Bad Vision, Lymphedema, Obesity, and many other Diseases:
MAIN CAUSE IS Eating A Lot Of PROCESSED, HIGHLY PROCESSED FOODS, AND BEING SEDENTARY (NOT EXERCISING) !!!....
Yes, these Diseases weren't common years ago. Because there were Less Processed Foods and people were moving about instead of Sitting on their Asses....

You had 'caaparal' huh? That's rough. Glad it just went away on its own for you. Carpal tunnel doesn't do that, so it is a good thing that wasn't what was wrong.

Go get diagnosed, the sooner the better! Maybe surgery is not the only option nowadays!
