Air Raid wardens dig through rubble for people who may be trapped. C/U of a dead man covered up in the road. M/S as two old people are taken away by ambulance. Various shots of civilians being evacuated from Calais by the Canadians prior to the big allied bombardment of the town, after mercy truce is declared. Red Cross van drives through.
