- We decided to link up and go for a street skate during lockdown 1.0 in London. Started in Vauxhall and ended near the London eye with loads of stops in between.

Takes me back to my childhood! We lived on our skates and we also put wheels on our bauers! Once you feel the freedom of skating its a lifelong thing. I still skate now and it still feels great 💯
The only thing I hate about skating is taking them off, and having to walk again :(

Same here! Bought my first Bauers from Lillywhites in Picadilly back in 1980 and we converted them with plates and wheels from Alpine sports in Notting Hill! We started with skate parks like Meanwhile Gardens and Harrow, rode a half pipe at Crystal Palace and did the whole roller disco thing at Jubilee Hall in Covent Garden and Harrow /Wealdstone sport Center! Those were the days! 😁 I have now lived in Sweden since 1987 andI have just bought my first quads again this summer since my days in London. Loving them like crazy, I just hope Swedes start skating again, until then I am getting my moves polished so as to shine for when we get up to speed here in Gothenburg! 😂👍🏾🙏🏾. 🏴🇸🇪🇹🇹

Haha, I'm 51, thinking about it too, skated a lot in my teens, on Bauers as well. Don't know if time allows me but if I do it I think I'll be looking to a different kind of skate and be more about technique than I was in my youth. Did you get your Bauers?

What's the most important thing to take note of for someone attempting to street skate like that (perhaps not to your level)? I guess stopping and controlling speed. however, I'm learning that although some surfaces look appealing they are actually quite gnarly

Hey so question.. but first gotta give you guys your due… y’all are awesome on the skates…. But my question is do you ride both inline and quad skates? Or just quad? And what do you find better or worse….. the reason I ask is I keep going back and forth and I’m just beginning so it’s like I want to do both but I think swapping out is hurting in getting better

Is there anything you put in the front of your bauers mine are new but no padding near the toe just hard plastic

@@Devante2you cheers, I don't get why there's no padding found them really uncomfortable but I found a website called flexitog that do footliners for wellies there just like skate liners but only £4.50. Didn't fit in the bauers but I just cut the toe part out and to size and there brilliant now. But on the skates with the linning would be perfect and fraction of the price. Thought I'd put it on here incase anyone else finding them uncomfortable
