The price to quality ratio is insane, gorgeous lens with its own little admirable image quirks for a super solid price point. Love the break down as always!
Thanks so much Armando! Colouring is very straight forward, it's very similar to how I did it in my "film" look grading video. The key is getting the footage to the final result as best as you can so in post, it's easier to get where you want it to be! Definitely i'll be doing more videos on the topic!
Broo this lens is something !! I wish i had this, I’m a film student and could only afford a canon 250D dslr , this could be a game changer from my kit lens !
Yup! works great :) I suggest using mid peaking settings on f/0.95 and actually zoom in to see the focus. It's so hard to focus on 0.95 lol at f1.4 its similar to other 1.4 lenses
What a great review, thanks! Impressive moody shots too. I’m jealous of your strong name, although I was hoping for a slight Italian hint in your voice, rather than a flawless American accent. Keep up the great work 🎉🎉
The price seems super worth it. It will probably be my next little investment and a cool way to get into more use of a manual focus shooting mentality and not just have auto focus rule me.
I love the design of the manual lenses, I always wanna get one. But I just bought my first camera, and it would be a bit too hard to do manual focus only for me.
Awesome review and shots! How come the apsc lens was filling up the whole image automatically without cropping? And what's the ratio when you put that lens on that full frame? Does 50mm become 75mm? Thanks!
The lens is designed with a wider coverage for some reason! Which is awesome!! It’s still 50mm! A lens should behave the same way as whatever it’s listed so a 50mm lens on a MFT, APSC, or full frame will always have the same compression and look as a 50mm the only thing that changes is the field of view (what you’re seeing in frame) the smaller the sensor, the higher the crop!
@@VictorLaforteza I see, thanks for clarifying that! I still don't understand though how an apsc lens was filling the entire image of a full frame camera without creating a vignette?
@@Volodiaschneider I think they designed it with apsc in mind and the byproduct of it being so wide made it possible to cover full frame. Idk how it works but it's what I had discovered lol
Hey man, just found your content recently and I'm loving it, can't wait to see you grow ! One question, how's the image stabilization with this lens ? I know there's none so isn't it suuper shaky handheld (like somewhat distorted, not just the classic handheld shake) ? How did you shoot the footage in this video ?
Thanks dude! IBIS helped a lot and adding weight to the camera such as rigging could really help with the natural handheld look! I shot this with just the lens and the camera with me just holding still to get that stabilized look!
@@VictorLaforteza Oh really ! I saw another video on it where the footage was all distorted when the person was moving with normal handheld movement which scared me a lot. Do you think that's possible if the movement is too rough or simply that the person didn't use IBIS ? Thank you so much for answering
@@VictorLaforteza Thank you so much man you're amazing for that ! It's very jittery and if he moves a bit too harshly there's some wavy distortion th-cam.com/video/WDwbACIXGIA/w-d-xo.html
Is it bad that I'll comment on all your videos until I win your luts? hahaha But I've used a 0.95 lens before! It was the voigtlander nokton for the GH5. I think I would use this lens for a vintagey type of shoot!

The way you shot the visuals with that lens is amazing. I really love how you always simplify things Vic. Def I am getting this lens and try it out.
Thanks Aaron! Definitely a unique lens!!!

right!!! definitely a very unique lens. Glad you loved the breakdown!!
Bro your videos has such a dope vibe. Good info and perfect coloring. I need to see how you color videos.

Ive Been watching you grow since 5K subs, Keep it up! from what Ive been seeing you will define a new period of quality and content!
Thank you, Avi! So glad to hear that!
I was a little hesitant about buying this lens before, but after watching your video, I decided to get one right away! Great video man!
Glad to hear! I think addressing the issues with and using that to its advantage makes it an even better lens!
Love the content brotha, one of the few creators I like putting out content with the A7IV, love referencing back to this channel
Thank you brother, really appreciate that!
Definitely add this link to my collection. I already had the TT audition 21 mm 1.5 and I love it.
Very nice footage and review my friend!
Thank you so much! I had so much fun with this lens !
You're giving me too much to think about in terms of lenses 😂😂 keep it up man!

Hey bud, great review! Awesome job with the lighting, will for sure get it lens for creative projects.
Thank you! It's an awesome lens for a low light combo!
I think thins lens would be great with a promist and a fog machine for a really soft look, tks for the video.
I keep forgetting I have the hazer in my garage.. next time...
peaking color is available at manual focus with this lens right??

Definitely forces you to focus more on getting the right shot without AF!!
is the 35mm also works for the full frame mode?
Almost! Just gotta crop in a bit
I love the design of the manual lenses, I always wanna get one. But I just bought my first camera, and it would be a bit too hard to do manual focus only for me.
always need practice with it! it's so refreshing once you kinda get bored of the autofocus. Good skill to have especially on video
Nice review bro. Thanks for the information 🔥🙏🏻
Thank you!! Glad you found it helpful :)
did you shoot in crop mode on sony ?
Yessir
Nice shots

@@VictorLaforteza that’s so strange… especially since they sell a full frame version of it for three times the price!
But the aperture is clicked, is that a problem and Laowa's click/declick options are better?
if you're doing video then having declick is better.

Nice Video.. I just found... and became a fan also
Cool vid, will definitely try to get my hands on this lens.
Also what is the song used in the last 10-15 seconds of the video?
Thanks! It's definitely a unique one! The song is something new by anthony lazaro. You can license it on artlist!
Does it really not have a vignette? How about on photo if using it on a full frame body?
On photo, probably will show some vignetting! Video is good cuz it only uses a part of the sensor
Thanks man!
Your color grading is A1, amazing video
Thank you, Angel!! trying to make it as best as I can!
Man those nanlites 🤌🤌🤌
You gotta get em bro!!
Those sample shots you made are so sick dude! Love the lighting breakdown as well! I’d definitely try this lens for low light and more unique shots👍🏽
Thanks Emerson! Definitely a unique lens to have!! Just be very patient with the f/0.95 lol
can't wait for the 10k subs😄
Prize pool is getting bigger and bigger!!
that lens is apsc ?
Yeah but still covers FF
should i buy 35 mil version or 50, im in a hurry
35mm
Thank you
!!! Just great!
Thank you!!
Why it cover FF if it's made for APSC and there is a FF model? There sure has some technical differences right?
yes, just means that the corners on the apsc version might not have the sharpest edges but it still covers FF

Hahah all good!! Best of luck!! Ya this lens is amazing very vintage! I love it.
Absolutely would use it at 0.95
Amazing low light beast!
Autofocus?
nope
Focus breathing is irrelevant. This is not a video lens.
and yet they put focus breathing compensation on the Sony G Master lenses. Those aren't video lenses either.
Orillia?? haha
Haha yup! Good eye.
this is awesome i wish i could afford a camera 🥲
Look at used market if you're on a tight budget. Doesn't have to be the best new camera out there :)
