    I was able to get the water pump out from the bottom by maneuvering it towards the center of the car. I just needed to temporarily remove a bracket for the bottom shield of the vehicle. Of course I was able to bring in the new water pump through the same route. Hope this helps others.

    Oh glad I watched this because I’m getting warm air through the ac front, hot on the floor but I was told valve, but then the fan was coming on intermittently….then I told him that’s not normal because what is the fan trying to cool off and sure enough…got a code for the pump, thermostat

    Good vid man, it's not a tough job but there is a lot of stuff in the way. I bet it's tough to film while you do it too. You can loosen the electric steering rack and drop it a bit so you can get the pump and thermostat in and out from the bottom. If you ever have to do the high pressure fuel pump or an alternator, let me know. I have a lot of experience with those two lol!

    2024 latest update!!! FCPeuro now offers an all aluminum water pump for the f10 from German Pierburg with the 3 bolts included! This version is a major update to the VDO/Continental OEM water pump that is half plastic/aluminum and is know to fail do to weak design and internals! Pierburg took care of that by beefing it up and making it robust inside out and fully metal case and it's only a few bucks cheaper. This is a must when replacing the water pump along with the Thermostat and sure to last another 8 to 10 yrs! .

    Another great video. I changed both but it's still overheating. No leaks but but only hot air keeps returning to the expansion coolant tank. Any suggestions?

      @Marty09933  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hi Chaka Atiim Gale If worse comes to worst blown head gasket or crackhead but I don’t think that’s the case you might have an air pocket stuck in there Jack up the car from the front fill it with coolant leave the cap off run it for about five minutes in that position and you’ll see all the air pockets come up let gravity do the work and then take it for a test drive and see if that helps good luck brother .thanks for watching I appreciate you

    • @Marty09933

      Hi RoadHerose610 FCP euro it’s a little more expensive but when I was running Bmw, they were offer a lifetime replacement on the parts. You can find them on another websites cheaper but if you go to cheap they won’t last that long. thank you for watching. I appreciate you.

    Had a guy replace the water pump and thermostat on my bmw 535i 2011. Now its leaking coolant by the driver side. Hes gona. Cowm check it out soon. Any idea what might be causig/whete the leak is comig from?

    • @Marty09933
      @Marty09933  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Laslay13 well your water pump should be like in the middle a little more to your passenger side unless it’s dripping and running down a hose or a part of the car but right now I would guess maybe just a hose wasn’t tightened they’re pretty hard to get to you kinda have to squeeze in there and tighten them up Hope that helps and thank you very much for watching. I appreciate you.

    Some water pumps have the electronic box on the front and some on the back of the pump,should I check what kind is mine or any type can fit on the car?

    • @Marty09933
      @Marty09933  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Benjamin Franklin yes check your vehicle first if its like mine it should be in front . Or it won’t fit I go with FCP Euro more expensive but life time warranty if it’s in the budget if not you can go cheaper but won’t last as long. Thank you for watching I appreciate you ….

    Don't see why you have to reuse those old worn out water pump/thermostat hoses they're as old as the broken water pump (those hoses got torn in the process when removing them, not good)! MUST REPLACE ALL THOSE MAIN HOSES (not expensive) and have peace of mind! You have a BMW, why in hell be cheap with parts.... 🤔

  • @cockus123

    wow... every SINGLE video will not put torque specs for the sway bar! wtf is wrong with yall! thats the most important part. so stupid.
